Starting in August, all characters that are part of HWD and not on hiatus by the 15th of the month will be responsible for linking three threads of 10+ posts each to the month AC check (This Month In Arkham). Of the three, two must be with different PLAYERS ( Read more... )

It's just occurred to me, when we're posting about what our character's been up to over the last month, should we only link threads that count for AC?

You only ever have to link the base minimum for AC.

I'm just anal. As I play, I link threads in my characters' journals each time I join a new one.

I end up just copy/pasting that for AC. You can summarize and then link your AC, you can just link your AC....doesn't matter.

OK. I was just thinking that it might make your life harder if I link threads that don't count and then you can't tell if I've made AC or not. But if it doesn't matter, I'll just do whatever I have the energy for at the time.

Oh, I just have a check list. I like reading the summaries to be honest, keeps me up to date on what's happening to characters.

But yes, do as you like.

This obviously isn't going to apply to older/current players, but will there be a certain leniency for new-ish players who end up with their three qualifying (therefore not the only ones they have due to inactivity, just the only long enough ones) threads being with the same mun--say one intro + one plot thread with one character, and another thread with a different character whose mun is the same--if it's believable that they just didn't know it was the same player? ie they're probably not going to make a habit of excluding other players.

...I know it's an odd question, but I am forever anxious for newbies. (After a bit it's pretty easy to differentiate muns, but I've found it can be a bit overwhelming to learn them all when you first join.)

I don't think it will be a problem. But if it does become one, we can address it case by case.

Alright, just checking. I'm sure case-by-case will be just fine for everyone involved.

I really can't imagine it coming up. Likely what will happen is just I ask for a little more AC the next month. You know I'm mellow.

Ten comments each: meaning each thread or per person IN each thread?

Thread must go on for at least 10 comments to count.
