Who: Elena, Alaric and YOU Where: The campus gym. What: Elena has aggression to work through. Alaric won't let her be alone. When: February 12th. Afternoon.
because Sam should meet this mysterious Alaric, Elena...
[Sam arrives, wearing a track suit he 'acquired' in a supply room, planning to do his daily workout. Being trapped in a crazy university didn't meant he couldn't keep some of his normal habits. So he stashed his laptop bag in a locker - yes, he also acquired one of those dial locker locks - and headed into the weight room with his Ipod strapped to his arm.
So glad this place had electricity and normal plugs. Sam may have gone crazy without it.
He headed for the circuit machine, planning on doing the circuit three times today, starting with the sit-up station.]
[ With Alaric's help, Elena sets the dumbbell back down before sitting up. Recognizing Sam, she looks up at Alaric. ]
I think I know him.
[ And by that she means, she's never met the boy in person. And yet, here he is. And Alaric's there. Fun. Not that she's - interested. She just isn't used to her security detail. ]
...Sam?
[ She calls out, before noticing he has an iPod. She steps off the bench, grabbing her towel, and walks over to him, to give him a proper hello. She doesn't know if Alaric is going to follow. She kind of doesn't care. ]
[That's fine, they weren't in the middle of a workout or anything. She wanted to get stronger, didn't she? He wasn't sure how this was going to help if she didn't take it seriously, but he doesn't stop her from taking a breather to go say hi to this Sam guy.
He doesn't follow her over either, but he sure as hell is keeping his eye on them both from across the room]
why not, let's do both.isaywe_partyFebruary 14 2012, 18:15:30 UTC
Buffy was starting to get sick of standing still.
Things were tense with Angel, and while that wasn't anything new for the world as a whole, she was starting to think that that wasn't going to change. She knew that she hadn't necessarily made it easy, but she didn't know how she could. In the end, Giles was still going to be dead.
That wasn't going to change, and it still wasn't something she could forgive.
She could patrol, even though there was nothing to fight, but in her mind, it somewhat defeated the purpose of patrolling. She just needed somewhere to blow off some steam, so really -- she was hoping the gym had a punching bag.
Elena was taking a breather from the punching bag itself, choosing instead to go at Alaric's palms. But, before she was going to do that, she was taping her hands.
"Have you started working on your weapons again?" she asked, spotting a familiar blonde she had seen on the Network. Instinctively, she moved away from the punching bag they were near to give Buffy her space. She knew Alaric was always working on them back home, making them better, making new weapons. They were lucky Alaric arrived with his stockpile.
"A little bit whenever I can." Which meant, whenever it wasn't his turn to play Elena's shadow. Between Damon and himself, they had pretty much worked out an around the clock schedule to make sure that she wasn't in any danger from threats inside the campus itself. Namely, one original vampire named Rebekah.
"I don't have as much to work with here," he added, his focus drifting toward the blonde girl he'd spoken to over the network as she nears the punching bag. Right, she was crazy Dracula girl. He looks back toward Elena before it's too obvious that he's watching, or you know, before it comes off as creepy.
"I was thinking of taking a look around some of the classrooms to see if I can salvage anything."
Buffy noticed them. And she would have said hi, if one of them didn't think she was crazy. She didn't come to get in her way, she just came to use the punching bag.
Which she would. Violently. Until she notices the bolts in the ceiling creaking, because this one wasn't really bolted in for Slayer strength.
