Sydney, in brief.

I love this city.

It surprises me, because normally big cities aren't my thing (I think that was part of my problem in Melbourne), but I love this one! I've been here almost a week now, for which the weather has been gorgeous every single day (although it looks like it's beginning to turn right now, with rain predicted for the next week), and so far I've been a happy little nerd by tracking down Farscape filming locations and then feeling quite proud of myself for being able to identify them. It's the small things, I guess.

Major highlight so far: Manly. The whole area is BEAUTIFUL. I walked around North Head and took a billion photos, all while pondering the possibility that paradise actually exists, is called Manly, and the Australians have been hiding it from the rest of the world the entire time. (In this theory, Sydney exists as a cover-story and to help distract attention.)

Actually, pretty much every day here has been a highlight of some sort - a few nights ago I saw a fireworks/jet-ski combo performance on Darling Harbour, in which the fireworks were fired from the back of the performing jet skis, and my mind was officially blown. What makes it even better was that a) this performance was free and b) they're doing it every Friday and Saturday night for the whole of May, so I actually went back the next night to watch it again and was still incredibly impressed.

...That's probably it for now. I'd come up with something more eloquent, but I think I'm still in that 'gleeeeeeeeee' stage where mostly I want to describe everything as 'awesome', and that would probably become dull reading after a while!
