I'm playing Skyrim now, and this certainly reminded me of a town in that game, full of people just ready to give quests to anyone who stops by. "Oh, you're a random person, you'll go into this crypt that's full of the zombies of my forefathers and grab that ring I lost, right?"

I do try very hard to come up with something funny, which is harder some weeks than others. In some ways, I'm sure people will be very understanding if I post a sad one sometime, but I still kinda worry it would be disappointing? I don't know, it's complicated.
But yes, greed inevitably leads to being eaten by monsters. = )

Don't be afraid to take risks, though! Some of my most well-received entries in Idol have been when I stepped out of my comfort zone. You're a good enough storyteller that I'm confident you could make something more serious work just as well. :)
