I can see clearly now the rain has gone
I can see! I had Lasik eye surgery yesterday (And aparently didn't tell anyone? Sorry, you get used to being rather isolated down here, and forget that the rest of the world exists) and all went well. I can see today! Things are still a little hazy today and my left eye is a tiny bit sore, but those things should improve soon. So, for the first time in ten years, I woke up this morning and could see the world around me without groping around on the floor for my glasses first!
In other good news, I applied for, interviewed, and was offered an internship at the Pearl Theatre in NYC from August to January. It's a Stage Management Internship (the one Bertie did....ps Bertie rocks my socks and I love her). They will be doing two shows in partial rep. I will be ASM'ing Arms of the Man and PA'ing (I think that what he said) the other. The Pearl is a cool theatre. they specialize in the classics and are a resident theatre company. (thepearltheatre.org)I'm very excited!
things in savannah are fine. Not much going on here, just working at the mall (gulp) and hanging out with friends (ah, nothing like getting dressed up and going to see a friend play jazz at a ritzy hotel to pretend you're classy). I'm going to DC for a week starting July 8th. My mom is going to a social work conference at some country club outside DC, so my dad and I are tagging along to take in the sights and museums and to have a fun family vacation....errr except for my sister who's working at a real job in the real world, unlike me at the moment. It should be fun. I'm looking forward to it.
Also, I'm trying to update (slash, make) an address book (because I haven't kept one since I was about nine years old), so could people please mail me their addresses? Thanks! AutumnTilson@gmail.com
