This article was interesting, though I would be afraid to structure our society based on insect social structures.
I had a chuckle thinking about bugger sci-fi novels (Ender's Game, Starship Troopers), and our hydrocarbon hungry society. Wouldn't it be a riot if our hydrocarbons mimiced a stellar bug society's love chemicals, and they invaded / attacked Earth because of it?
Just another reason to support alternative energies. *winks*
