well, this jolly old weekend has come and gone and man was it ever fun! May 2-4 has never disappointed me from year to year. every one has been FANTABULOUS...
so anyways, on Friday part of my French family came up to visit for the weekend. that was pretty good times except i found myself exhausted after 3 hours of speaking French and really just wanted to curl up w/ a good book and fall asleep instead of having to entertain them constantly.
Saturday was BY FAR the best day! i went to Toronto, picked jenna Douglas up in Barrie and then went to Gary Armstrong Woodwinds to get my new clarinet! oh man, it was greatness in itself! Peter (my teacher) was there and he and Jenna helped me to make a final decision on which one i should buy. then, we went to Union Station to pick up my bro, Maxime who was coming off the train from Montreal and to meet up with Iain Gardner & Marie...all 4 of us went out for coffee at Starbucks where we all proceeded to be annoyingly loud so that we received some interesting mad looks and where i also proceeded to stick my face in my hot chocolate and not being able to measure distances, ended up dunking my nose into the frothiness that is whipped cream! so of course i wasn't going to walk around w/ cream on my face so there were a bunch of newspapers lying on our table so i thought it'd be BRILLIANT of me to wipe my face w/ them....bad idea Talie! after i've wiped it, Gardner and Jenna were like, ummmm...Talie....i can read words on your face....YEESH...the ink had printed a quarter of a bloody article on my cheek! i am an idiot.
so after that lovely time, we parted ways and drove Jenna back home. as soon as we'd gotten home, Maxime and i went off to my cousins' party and saw most of our Hville crew that had come up for the weekend. we proceeded to the bar (The Cottage) for any of you who know Hville at all and there was a MASSIVE line up and they were hardcore checking for IDs....i pretended i'd just gone out for a smoke and got in! so easy! YEESH
so that was my lovely weekend, among other little things...
hope you all had a good one!
