well, as my friend welcomes unemployment, we kick it off w/ a rockin' concert in San Francisco at the Bill Graham Civic Center. it was Live 105's "Not So Silent Night" concert which display a lot of the latest modern/alt. rock music w/ artists that haven't quite made it big, but will be. Highlights of the show included Franz Ferdinand, the Muse, the Killers, Interpol, and YES!!! MODEST MOUSE!!! w00t!!!!! My ears are still ringing uggghhh!!!
bleedin' shame that was i soooo tired (and wasted from the two 12 dollar beers) i practically fell asleep by the last showing of Modest Mouse.

as soon as the concert ended, we rushed home in San Jose, to grab at least 3 hours of sleep, and prepped for our snowboardin' trip the following Saturday morning. EXTREME!!! looks like Northstar is revamping the way they are looking trying to acquire a different crowd. what was awesome is that no one was there on the slopes (thank goodness for Final Exams in College, Muahahahahah)
the Black Diamond slopes were next to nothing, we practically owned the mountain. toward the end of the day, i was able to board down the "Flying Dutchman" completely alone, it was a feeling next to nirvana; however, the fear of bailing and getting lost in the mountains still remained in the back of my head from being alone.
