My latest Morsel for you all:
A capella (no instruments, only voice); Soprano-Alto-Tenor-Bass (SATB) straight-tone (no vibrato or funky operatic voices, just simple and pure tones). Slowly, reverently, growing pregnant with emotion as the piece continues and settles on a hopeful, open, pure chord. The lyrics (written tonight) are as follows:

This, too, shall pass, that
as we turn through life's cycles
We will know fear and safety
Truth and deceptions
Desperations and hope
Want and fulfillment.
We will know births, lives, and deaths;
And we will pass through them,
Heads held high and eyes
Full of future, to peace.
