On Sat we went to Shawnee again. This was most likely the last weekend of the season. *cries* I got my ass kicked on Sat though. I was in the terrain park and I tried this one ramp...I fell flat on my back - knocked the wind right out of me! Another time I slammed the left side of my body...my neck and ass is soar! It's alright though...one girl broke her shinbone - it was sticking out...thank God that was not me. I'd be freaking out! I saw a couple other people w/ their heads wrapped in bandages...but other than that, it was BEAUTIFUL out. In the beginning I just went out there in my t-shirt. We met a girl from Poland there who is an
au pair. She's 22 and lives w/ a family who is very kind to her. (Thank God). She gets every weekend off but she has no friends. She's been in the US for 10 months now and she just signed on for another year w/ the family that she's w/ now. We exchanged numbers and e-mail addresses. I can't imagine being in a foreign country and not having anyone to talk to. She's an awesome person and hopefully we'll get together in the future. She would goto Shawnee all by herself on the weekends. She said that she's bored being by herself - I don't blame her @ all.
Sunday was Easter dinner w/ the fam. Thankfully it went over well. Sometimes Holiday dinner w/ my family is a horrible experience. It was bearable this time around. We had way too much food! I tell my grandmother this all of the time, but I guess it's better to have too much than not enough @ all.
I watched Tipping The Velvet last night. The story was good, but some parts were a little weird for me. I don't know what it is about gay films, but the majority of 'em aren't great...in my opinion. My favorite film to date is Better Than Chocolate. Now that was a great story! Which reminds me, Bev still has not returned the DVD back to me!
