Thanks - I like the whole sense of optimism to the story, that Doyle was grouchy but he'd still let Bodie in. :D

Thank you! :D It was a hard one to write, so I'm very pleased you liked it, and that a feeling of optimism came through. :)

Bodie is a good friend. I was almost as relieved as Bodie when Doyle was finally firmly on the road to recovery!

So many moments that made me smile. Like this one: "He wore a hospital gown and Bodie was guarding his back as he walked. (Despite his sometimes-exhibitionistic nature, Doyle seemed to find the forced lack of privacy from hospital gowns highly embarrassing.)"
A completely new definition of 'guarding his back'! :-)

And so many heartbreaking moments. Bodie is such a good friend and nurse! He even charms a nerving mother.

I like it very much. Thank you!

This was really nice. Bodie all hovering and protective and still not letting on to Doyle how worried he is. I think he handled Mrs Doyle like a pro too. *g* I loved Doyle being a grumpy, surly bugger, but still able to let Bodie know how much he was hurting, and that it was Bodie who was able to get him to eat. I reckon no one else had a chance.
