the weekend
Well I just got home from my canoe trip tonight. I have to say it was a lot more tiring than I thought it would be. We went on the Sturgeon River in Indian River(a town). We went with some family friends that we know from church. It was a lot of fun. Saturday we played football in the hotel pool. Except for the getting beat up and dunked every time you got the ball, it was fun. It was 4 on 4 and the parents just watched. At dinner that night they said they voted me MVP, because of my 6 interceptions and 5 touchdowns haha. We had a 12 person Euchre tournament but I didnt win because I basically suck at euchre and I always feel bad for who is my partner. We started canoeing at 11 on sunday morning, and didnt finish til 4. The river had an 80% tip rate or something crazy, and it was true because 4 out of our 5 canoes tipped. One of them(my brothers) tipped 5 times lol. The whole time we were having water gun fights and squirting stupid kids standing in the middle of the river. Near the end we tied 3 canoes together and made a huge boat and we just plowed through all the lazy people who were just floating down the river on tubes. Since we had such a huge boat at the end it was hard to steer, so I had to lay in the bottom of the canoe sometimes so I didn't get hit by the tree branches hanging over the river. We drove home that Sunday night and all the kids slept the whole way pretty much. Oh yeah i hate it when you are driving on a long trip and have to go to the bathroom but there is nowhere to stop, that really sucks. I got home and watched Coach Carter with my brother and sister, which by the way, is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Well thats about it. Im done working for the summer which means I get to sleep in tomorrow for the first time all summer!:)
