Project Diary - Day 13

July 21, 2012

Pretty quiet for a Saturday.

Ron took Andrew for his drivers’ license while I worked on copying all our pictures & files to CDs.  Wouldn’t you know it that at 8am I’m almost done - only family & vacation pictures to do - I hear a loud ‘pop’ and poof - the power went off.  A transformer blew down the street.  And of course this is the hottest day of the weekend.  Luckily it was off for only several hours.

Andrew didn’t pass his test.  It was mostly stupid stuff, but he didn’t make a complete stop at one stop sign and started to proceed and another car had the right of way.  Major points off right there.  I told him not to worry about it.  A lot of people do not pass the first time.  Now he knows what he was doing wrong (like stopping ON the white line, rather than before it) and work on that.

But it means he hoofs it up to the bus stop this week, when I go to OKC.  He calls it his punishment for not passing.

Had a dream about Daisy.  The vet didn’t put her down, but kept her in a cage at his office.  We went there for shots for Lily and Daisy escaped.  But I couldn’t understand how she survived for six months with no food, because they said she hadn’t been eating at all.  The blame in her eyes for making her live in a cage for six months, was terrible.  We ended up stealing her back, and then didn’t get Lily her shots.  Weird.
