I've finally landed a permanent job! Of course it's dependant upon the drug test, but there shouldn't be a problem there.
I was hoping that the K-Mart job would come through, but I wasn't going to be waiting around while they go through their job freeze.
Had a very good interview on Tuesday and they offered me the job - contingent upon the drug test - today!
It's a small manufacturing firm that develops the tv monitors in airplanes. They also retro fit older planes with newer technology, and they are getting into cockpit instrumentation.
They just moved into a new space, triple the size, a few months ago, and are already looking to rent more storage space because they've gotten some big contracts with Russia & Japan. In fact the growth has been 50-75% per year in the last five years. Which is amazing, considering the economy.
They've never had an assistant, but now are looking for an Office Manager and a Data Clerk. I'll be the Office Manager, and the Billing clerk will come on board in the spring or summer. They want me to get in their first before they start bringing in any other office personnel.
We really had a good meeting on Tuesday and I was hopeful, but didn't want to jinx it. I'm really excited to get back into what my experience is.
Which means that SHareCon is looking more like a positive!
