I'm such a blonde!

Nov 05, 2011 08:03

I just realized I forgot my mother's birthday on Wednesday  - okay, she's been gone 16 years, but I could still buy some flowers in her memory and wish her a Happy Birthday,

And then Wed night/Thur morning, I did another "blonde" thing, though I really like to blame it on the MS.  I got up to let the doggies out.  And I usually have a bowl of cereal while waiting for them.  For some dumb reason, I poured the milk into the cereal container (I have the Tupperware cereal containers), ate a few bites.  AND THEN PUT THE THING ON TOP OF THE REFRIGERATOR!  Of course when Andrew got up, not only was the cereal really soggy, but the milk was spoiled.

I'm just shaking my head.....

=========================

I might have good news on the current job front.  But first, a precursor.

I've mentioned the problems I had on Monday, right?  Well, on Tuesday my sign-on was gone.  So I had to work under J's id.  And then on Thursday I get a phone call from the Manpower office.  They didn't know I'd been there all week, and told me I wasn't supposed to be there.

Now this was probably the worst week of them all.  Two circulars and a savings guide?  Shit, J2 and I and J were going crazy all week.

Then they told me that unless Sears turned over the paperwork today, I was not to work on Friday and I wouldn't get paid.  But they said they'd figure out how to pay me for what've I've worked the rest of the week.  What?  Sears is paying them, why can't they just pay me?!  What BS.

Anyway, they got the paperwork, I got my badge & access codes back (AT 4:30 ON FRIDAY!), but my access to the Marketing system is not working.  Probably because the people who assign that stuff did it wrong.  So now, until I get that back, I have to switch between my sign-on (for my e-mail) and J's sign-on (for the Marketing System).  What a mess.  And I had to bring home 53 e-mails this weekend, that I felt were relevant, so I could review them against the blueprints of weeks 49 & 50.

So I'm there for another three months.  However, I might have good news.  Don't want to impart it, until I know definitely.  But keep your fingers crossed and say a few prayers for me.
