It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks...
The next two weeks - actually, week and a half - are going to be quite busy, and some of you will be coming along for the ride.
This week started with rehearsal on Monday for a production of "TV ReRuns" on Tuesday. TV ReRuns are staged readings of television shows. I was the narrator (stage directions, etc.) For all the shows, the announcer for Batman (1960's Adam West Batman), along with stage managing the show. I did it!
Tonight knitchick1979 and I picked up our Assistant Department Head for Special Needs as she came into town a day early. We introduced her to Superdawg, a Chicago.tradition and specialty. Shelley fell in love, especially with the Superveggies.
Today we load in for Anime Central. This is my third year staffing as part of the Special Needs department. We are on of the few cons with a department for handling accessibility issues of our guests, attendees and staff. I am so proud of "Team Awesome." We will be working through Sunday.
Monday knitchick1979, chicago_girl_7 and I will be heading up to Milwaukee to visit with paxieamor. So excited! Missed seeing her.
THEN! Then next Friday I head back up to Wisconsin (about 4 hours away), for the annual A Reasonable Facsimile Theatre Company retreat. We will be there through Memorial Day, coming back that night. 15 actors/techies/directors/writers in one cabin on a cliff on the Wisconsin River... yeah...
A lot of experiences, but so worth it.
And in between I continue to work on SF Squeecast, write, and clean the house as I can. It will be interesting.
