LOTS OF NEWS!
so updating has turned into a quarterly thing for me. so, here is a brief update about last quarter. . .
WINTER QUARTER CLASSES
with work and a few personal issues i kinda slacked off a little. but my grades turned out well! my goal was to just keep my dean's list streak alive. here is how it turned out:
pre-modern political thought grade first: 3.8- based on papers, so i knew that would be fine
women studies: 3.6- could have done better but the tests were weird, and the midterm was the day after the superbowl! should be illegal when a seattle team is in it.
concept of power: 3.6- lucked out on that, 3.4ed the midterm, didnt participate that much, and didnt think i did that well on the final, but i must have.
so my dean's list streak is alive!
SUBWAY
work has been good. definitely had some tough times, some late nights, some weird customers, some messy accidents, and some hectic stretches. but its also been a good learning experience and given me a lot of money, so i feel good about that. im working a couple of days a week now, and hope to keep the job through the summer. in case you didnt know, i work at the one on 45th and roosevelt, usually work nights, so come stop by sometime and i will make you a sandwich that will blow your mind.
HUSKY BASKETBALL AND TRIPS
i got to go to l.a. for the pac-10 tournament and to san diego for the first and second rounds of the ncaa tournament with the band. la was short because we lost our first game to oregon, so we were there less than 24 hours. still fun though i guess. san diego was awesome! we won both our games, including an upset of illinois. on our free day i got to go to the san diego zoo and went around town. great trip, nice weather, good people, fun times. the connecticut game i watched from home in vancouver, and it was heartbreaking. but it was a good season. im really looking forward to next season.
THIS QUARTER
spring quarter! my favorite! the quad is in bloom and everything! i am currently taking:
law in society- a poli sci class that seems like its going to be pretty sweet
history of american film- mostly studying early 20th century film and its relationship to the culture of american society
geopolitics- probably going to drop this class so i can get credit for my naral students for choice internship for my human rights minor. still figuring out how all that will play out.
HOUSE FOR NEXT YEAR!
yup, 52nd and 16th! going to live there with sebass, jenny, carolyn, and 5 guys sebass currently lives with. the house is awesome! 9 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, free parking, laundry, a huge hardwood living room. oh man, i love it. its all come about so fast too. gonna be some good times there for my senior year.
ok, i guess thats enough for now. i feel so lame when i talk about months at a time in such brevity. maybe i will actually update occasionally this quarter. maybe. go daWgs!
