“Friday Night Lights” will be back for a third season, thanks to a deal between NBC and DirecTV that splits costs and distribution rights, giving DirecTV customers first dibs at the high school football drama, starring Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton.

i'm really glad we're getting more FNL! but sad that I won't get to see it until midseason. i foresee the ratings for the midseason being abysmal on NBC, because FNL fans are so going to download it illegally in the fall. that won't be so good!

w00t! Now if only stupid New Amsterdam would get renewed and improve the procedural parts cause everyone seems to be in love with the flashbacks. John's backstory has been SO good these past two episodes, I REALLY want to see more.
