When Ryan and I sporadically use the references to Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place, it strikes back the memories of my love for those sensational shows.
what happened yesterday was that he and I were talking about them out of the blue and it hit me hard. I simply miss them. the excitement of viewing them weekly. the goosebumps at their opening title credits. the gossips and the shrieks on the day after each night's episode at school. the pin-up posters of the stars on my bedroom walls. the oh-my-god cliffhangers. and yes, the fabulous Shannen Doherty/Brenda Walsh.
indeed, the shows were an important part of my teenager years. My escapism. Perhaps some definition to who I am.
