Matt Stone, Trey Parker, Starbuck and Mary M.
Matt and Trey (the creators, writers etc. of South Park) were wonderful at the Peabody awards. If you get the chance to check them out, go to the scifi website and click on the picture of Mary and David to lunch the sci fi pulse video. Trey made a quick joke and thanked his staff, then handed it over to Matt. Matt rocked my world when he thanked the Peabody people for introducing he and Trey to Battlestar Galactica. The camera then showed the BSG table were everyone looked happy but maybe a little surprised. Matt then said that other recipients have kept their remarks brief by not mentioning BSG. Matt then congratulated BSG on behalf of all of the recipients. As they camera panned over the BSG table, Trey shouted into the mike "I love you Starbuck!, I love you Starbuck!" Everyone at the BSG table was laughing and you can see Jamie looking over at Katee. When the camera panned back to Katee and Grace, they were laughing pretty hard and I think Katee looked a little embarrassed (I need to watch it again).
When Ron and David accepted the award on behalf of the show, Mary stood next to Ron looking RADIANT as hell. Wow! Watch the clip and you'll agree that she is an expert at standing, doing nothing but looking interested and photogenic. How has she not gotten more work?
Celebrity matchmaker. I'm watching an old episode of The Office as I write this and it just occurred to me that John Krasinski and Katee Sackhoff are a match made in heaven. They're both funny, wonderfully versatile actors and have this natural charisma that makes them more attractive than they should be. I don't know if Katee will ever do a guest spot on The Office (it's been discussed) but I would love to see her and John in a scene.
I wish someone would write RPF about what happened later that night. Can you imagine the amount of teasing Katee is going to get over Trey's comments? And what if Katee and Trey met at an after-party? If only I could write...
