Not much going on in the FFXI world for me. Lack of playing is due to bullshit at work, not lack of interest to play. Still doing sea/sky/einherjar with Escaflowne, still doing ZNMs with ProjectM, and still doing dynamis with Millionclock. Dropped my Exodus pearl, I couldn't stand Amadork and the other retards who had no fucking idea how to play an eight year old game. It's unfortunate that all the shitty players in that shell far outweighed the 5 good ones otherwise I might have stuck around some more, but that's what Skype, FB chat, texts, and cybering is for. Trainwreck finally broke; Iridal left the game due to lack of interest. GoR has been a barren wasteland but I'll never leave home. Too many good memories there; 7 man drunk hakutaku runs say heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey.
Real life has been bombarding me with shit recently. Work has been crazy. My boss took two weeks off for medical leave; boob job (which are fucking marvelous I might add). So while she was gone, I was in charge and had to deal with everyone's bullshit excuses for not coming into work. Had one person quit, I had to fire one, and write up another for harassment towards a coworker. GOOD TIMES WOOO.
Finally left the front desk department at work and now doing fitness all the time. So much less stress now; love being able to, while on the clock, flirt for 30 minutes with a hottie working out and not get fired for it. Talking to members is part of the fitness job description and I fucking love it.
Work has been filled with some crazy drama also. One of the managers is going to get in trouble because of video evidence of him and another coworker getting busy after hours in the gym. I feel bad for him cause he's a nice guy and he's doing a much better job than the person before him. Sucks he made a mistake and fuck up cause he's a guy and, like every other male in the world, only has enough blood to think with his brain or his dick, but not both at the same time.
January was the start of the training season for karate. I switched up my cross training workouts and definitely started noticing good changes in my body. Endurance and power has increased a lot, now I just need to bring the speed back. March had my first big tournament of the year; the North American Cup in Ixtapa, Mexico.
It's not what I was hoping for, but I ended up getting a bronze medal in a modified Round Robin bracket. It was more important to see how my conditioning and training had help, or hindered me, which it did both. Although my power and speed were overall good, the extra strength I had gotten from weight training threw off my core strength and made me feel uncomfortable and unstable. Something to work on before Las Vegas and the USA Open.
Speaking of Las Vegas, I leave in three weeks. I'm excited to go this year, not only to get some sweet, much deserving revenge on the Hold 'Em table, but to get revenge and go to the finals in the USA Open again. I feel so much more confident in my abilities and technique compared to last year. I'll also have an extra day after the competition to chill in Las Vegas and visit some friends, which will be a nice welcome change of pace to my usual in-and-out karate visits.
May will be Quito, Ecuador. So I'll probably do another update after then. For now, I'll end this with a picture that will only be funny to me and two other people.
That's about it for now.
