It's a Monday
Except it' really Thursday. So most of the day fell apart (debit card still doesn't work, car overheated, etc.) But there were a couple main points I would like to complain about, because that's what these are really for anyway.
1. I tried to check my voice mail today and couldn't get my phone to connect. I figured it was just because I was in the basement and couldn't get enough service. Nope! My phone officially bit the dust today because I can neither make or receive calls with it. Went to the Verizon store to get a new one, and found out the shattered screen voids the warranty and there is no insurance. So a bottom of the line LG piece of crap would have cost a minimum of $130, and I refuse to buy any more LG phones. Mom couldn't get a hold of the rep through Weld County, which means it could be after the weekend when I finally get a new phone.
2. My grandma up in MT recently had surgery. Mom was going to fly up to see her the same week I'm going to be in AZ, except that would have cost more than me flying all the way out to Boston and back. Seems a little ridiculous. New plan: Chrissie and Mom and maybe Will drive up to MT for a few days. We just got new rims and tires on the car anyway, might as well use them. Great! Sounds like fun, I haven't seen that side of the family since fourth grade. Wait, we're leaving the morning after I get back from AZ and returning two days before I move? Gee, what a deal. So basically I have one more week in good ol' CO, only one more week at church, and I gave Mark my one week's notice today. Pretty lame considering I thought I would have a week to pack, do laundry, work, and say goodbye to everyone AFTER my trip to AZ. My last two weeks at home are gonna be spent in other states!
However, I did get my room assignment for the year today. I'll be staying in a triple occupancy room with a girl from Boulder and a girl from California. I was always afraid that my roommates would hate me because we were all so different, and it looks like that will be the case. At least I don't have to hang out with them or anything, just sleep in the same room. Boulder?! Ugh, anywhere but Boulder.
One more thing. With this whole new heightened security that's going on, you're told to be at the airport three hours before your plane leaves. I'm sure that's not going to change much until after September 11. Which means I have to be three hours early for one flight that leaves at 6:30am, and another flight that leaves at 12:55am. I'm flying within the U.S., what the crap?! Stinkin' international airport. I'm actually concerned about T-dawg coming home next week, I'm just irritated about all my flights.
