because we all know that as spring rolls around the corner
our beloved friend will melt
and our clothes will be drenched in his scent
and snow also gives us a foundation in which we bury our backs against the ground and smile and move our arms and legs about then stand up to find a snow angel right before our eyes. helping to remind us that we are in fact not alone.
that the very motion of our bodies imprinted into some sort of tangible substance leaves behind a symbol of something we will never be able to fathom until we die.

with our eyes finally open, we are exposed to a love that most will never have the opportunity to get to know.
we will hear of plans that were made that most will never even conjure up.
Lauren said that God needed Billy up there with him. so that Billy can watch over and protect all of us. so he can remind us daily to not take anyone who we love for granted. He showed us how to love. Really love. he showed us affection and comedy and humbleness and his sweet face will always be imprinted onto our hearts.
he doesn't want us to worry because he's having the time of his life right now. I'm sure he's kicking ass at whatever Zelda video game heaven's got to offer...heck I'm sure he's chatting up a storm with all the Zelda fanatics up there...and he's watching Lauren, and Joel, and Matt, and his family and all of us. and I know he doesn't want us to cry and be sad, but he understands and won't leave us.
Lauren, you are the strongest person I know. you are so beautiful. keep being strong for billy like you said. he is so proud of you and so am I and everyone else. Billy is so lucky to have been able to spend the time that he did with you. both of you showed me true happiness in love and for the rest of my life I will know what to do and what to say and how to act with the one that I love, because I believe in what yall had. yall were luminous together.
