"Ha!" Kenzi grinned. "Darya was useful when I was picking pockets in Baltimore. Looks like your little monster has the same abilities. Where did he get that?"
"Good luck with that." Kenzi had both hands waaaay away from the doll now. "You should dump him outside Loki's door with a note saying it's his turn sometime this week."

Yes, she was trying to sell DB. He was irritating, and so far had shown very little in the way of marketable skills.

DB wailed again. Sam roared at him, and he fell silent. Then whacked her on the foot with a fried drumstick.
"Hey! Where'd you get that, you little thief?!"
The lesson here, of course, was never to keep a fried chicken stash under the bed.
