Clue Challenge #27: October 2011

Who: Don
What: Exsanguination
Where: At Night

It's Halloween month again, so I've chosen a what that delves back into the supernatural if you so wish it to. Of course, exsanguination can also have totally normal, non-supernatural causes for those of you who'd rather not go that route. Maybe Don is just working a case where the bad guy prefers to exsanguinate his victims as part of a fetish or perverted desire instead of some ritualistic or supernatural reason and Don becomes a target. Though if you want to go the vampire route, than by all means do, I'd love it!

Also, while this theme definitely has clear connotations for death!fic, you can always say that the bad guy wanted to exsanguinate Don but was unable to complete it. Perhaps Don managed to take out the bad guy and save himself, or perhaps the team/Billy/... got to him in time and was able to stop the bad guy from completing his task.

Or if you want to go the supernatural route, give us vampire!Don or a vampire that tries to turn Don or manages/fails to do so. Would Don be a good vampire or would he become a vicious, soulless creature? If so, would he stick around to torment his family and the team? Pit his expertise and supernatural abilities against Charlie's math and analytical skills? I can just imagine Charlie's frustration when the evidence doesn't add up as he'd refuse to believe the supernatural element even when the others start to wonder.

And don't forget the crossover possibilities here. If you stray into vampire territory you can always chose to go into the Buffy verse and then there's Angel, Supernatural, True Blood, Vampire Dairies and that's not even considering the movies!
