I am so glad I did early voting (apparently half the registered voters in NV did as well) and voted last week and missed all the fun at the polls yesterday. I'll admit, I was more concered with the questions on our ballot than the elected officials. Other than the governor. Can I say that I'm surprised Jim Gibbons won? After all the scandals that popped up with him in the past month? Just goes to show that us down here in Clark County are a pretty liberal bunch because we are the only county that voted majority for Dina Titus. I mean in every other county it was like 70/30 for Gibbons. Good grief.
As for the questions: Marijuana remains illegal. The minmum wage goes up a dollar. And hallelujah, I'm going to be able to go into resteraunts and not be asked smoking or non-smoking anymore? I'm not going to have to be next to people smoking in the supermarket for heaven's sake. I'm pleasantly shocked that question 5 passed and 4 failed despite all the bars campaign for the opposite.
And I don't know what bug I'm trying to come down with, but this ain't fun. I think I'm going to go crawl back into my bed now.
