Soon to be homeless in Las Vegas
Okay people, if you post ads about rooms for rent/wanting roomates, please respond in a prompt manner to my requests for more information. I feel like an email spammer. I think I've sent out about 5 requests in the past couple of days with basically the same email body since I've gotten tired of trying to customize emails to each ad. I've gotten back to the point where I'm once again exploring apartments on my own.
I found some decent (but run down) ones just off the strip, practically at McCarran Airport. The area's not too bad, its less than a block from the Excalibur and the commute to work with be only about 5-10min, even with some traffic. I got there too late this afternoon to talk to the management, but I did talk to a very nice resident who was out on his patio/lawn area. Prices are excellent, only $500/month for a studio. Which is really, really hard to find out here unless I want to live in an area where I should be working on my concealed carry license. I've found a few other places on the internet that I might go out and look at today. Hopefully the prices haven't risen since they posted info on the internet (happens a lot out here).
My best hope though, is that the girl who emailed me a week or two ago about becoming roomates will work out. She wants to live in the same area as I, seems to be a good person, and is a LV native (a rare thing). Unfortunately, she won't be back in town until next weekend and my panic alarm is starting to rise.
Only 26 Days left. I really need to start at least pretending to pack or something.
