the close to a long weekend

ahhhhh..... relaxing, before I have to get to some work again later tonight. We had a fun weekend though, Friday night we visited some friends in Tempe and drank and ate pizza and I got my ass handed to me at horseshoes but it was fun nonetheless. Saturday me and the family took a day trip to the Globe/Miami area of Arizona, an old mining town that has tons of cool ass buildings and charm. I love that part of the state and it's not incredibly far away either. When we got home Ash yanked his loose tooth out and now he has the "gap" that most 6 and 7 year olds get. Classic. But then we forgot the do the "Tooth Fairy" and he nearly had a coronary the next morning. We calmed him down and explained that we were sure she was busy and she will come by the next night because she is never too busy to miss another day. So Sunday we chilled around the house and then later went into Tempe again to go see this awful Grateful Dead cover band. I hate the Dead but I hate hippies even more. So you can imagine I had a blast, and what made it worse was the fact that I didn't feel like drinking for some odd reason so it sucked even worse sober. It was weird. The kids all loved it though so what are you gonna do? We woke up this morning to the news that the Tooth Fairy somehow didn't quite make it again last night. My memory is terrible and was dulled by the visions of swirling tie-die and stink ass pachouli and incense, so it was even worse. So we rounded up another batch of lies to feed the boy and he was sated for now. She will come tonight, and she'll be packing extras for sure. Today was a lazy day and I went in and did some work for a couple hours that I'll finish up tonight. A pretty relaxing weekend over all. The only thing bugging me now is the goddamn Memorial Day tribute they are putting on the news to honor all the kids that have died for Bush's War. Where's the holidays to honor all the dead civilians and children? Anyway...... here is a pin-up I did for David Hopkins over at www.antiherocomics.com and his comic Karma Incorporated which is dropping in June.
