It seems appropriate enough that it is lightly snowing for New Years Eve right now. I would have liked it more had it been on Christmas Eve, but I'll take it. It is winter after all.
But the end of 2013... essentially in 7 months and 7 days, I will turn 30. 30... does that mean I need to act more adult-y? Like no more sneakers and jeans to work (work is very business casual) and try to be more responsible on things? I'm dwelling on it a bit too much. After all, P is turning 35 this year and he still acts like a 7 year old on a regular basis while taking on the household items of our finances and Mr Fix-it.
There is one big thing that I should try to focus on as I approach the 30 mark - not to be so hard on myself.
Other little resolutions:
- get back into a regular fitness routine
- manage diet better
- pray more
- accept that what I do is good enough and I do not need praise from others to know that what I do is good
- keep up with household chores (laundry, cleaning, gardens)
In case if I do not get a chance to wish it to people, but Happy New Year!
