Black & white, North & South, old & new, sacred & everyday - these are the lines Moanin’ Sons were born to blur. Their story begins in two far-distant places, around the same time. When Tennessee-born Gospel composer/choir director Eric Dozier was studying to be a Baptist preacher, Canadian guitarist JB Eckl was in the snow-bound Saskatchewan prairie, steeping himself in the lore of early rock & roll and sitting in with itinerant Chicago bluesmen on their circuit to the West Coast. About Our Series:
