I am back from a wicked wonderful adventure to the desert. A surprisingly enjoyable experience. I set out on my journey with an open heart and mind. Making the best attempt I was able to quiet my fear of heat and bees. Much to the chagrin of my phobia, there were very few bees that we encountered. I suppose it was too warm for them. In addition to the lack of stinging Arthropods, the temperature was less paralyzing than anticipated. I did struggle a bit during a strenous uphill midday hike... but I did not pray for death to strike me down. Sedona was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been!

I must say, once deep in the trees, close to the river.... I found egression an entirely apalling idea. Quinn's family awaited us later that evening, so we were fairly pressed for time as Sedona is hours from Tucson. I could have stayed in Sedona for days....

My lover is the sweetest man to have ever entered my life, and I use every day to express my gratitude. His family is just as wonderful as he is. We left Sedona and drove down to Tucson, arriving fairly later than we had intended. His Aunt was awake, she waited up for us. She had such a warm and inviting presence. She practically glowed coming down the stairs. After she finished hugging Quinn, who she hadn't seen for a while she turned to me and asked if she could give me a hug as well. She squeezed me and I felt loved instantly. I tried to send loving energy directly to her as well. The rest of the night was spent talking with his cousins who are very neat people. His cousin Audra is a very good artist, and she's been to Japan! The next night his Uncle and I made a sauce together. His Aunt has fresh herbs that she grows... the most delicious scented basil. I'm drooling just thinking of it.
I felt so thankful for the experience. So grateful to have had the chance to be there with them, welcomed into their home.

I should like to go back to Arizona sometime, soon as I can. I'm even thinking of trying to arrange a trip for my birthday in September - I'd like to take the kiddos to this place...

Slide Rock.

I could carry on for hours about my adventure to Arizona. There is so much more to tell.... alas, I should really be working. So perhaps another time I will write more.
