I'm sad that Gotoh didn't last longer, he was cool. I think Hisoka is mostly on Killua's side, since he wants Gon to be cured, but he could have killed Gotoh just so he doesn't interfere. With the butlers killed, Hisoka makes sure that they don't help Killua and Aruka (in case Hisoka decides that helping Gon is too risky and it's better to do as Illumi says) and they don't take Killua and Alluka back to the Zoldyck's (in case he decides to help Gon). Either way, it's better for him to get Gotoh and company out of the way. Also, he probably had fun killing him.
About Killua's promise... I have mixed feeling too. However, he might not mean that he's literally going to be always with her, but that he's not going to abandon her/leave her alone again. He does seem to regret leaving her alone when the family locked her away... Personally, I don't think Killua is going to leave Gon's side, and their adventures are usually too dangerous for Alluka, so I don't think they're taking her with them. For some reason I have the feeling that Alluka will lose her ability (Killua will probably wish for it after curing Gon and fulfilling the 3 subsequent requests) and she'll go to live with Mito-san. That way she'll be safe and happy with people that would care about her, and Killua would visit from time to time. And Mito would be happy to care after such an adorable and normal kid.
I love the idea of Alluka living with Mito-san! That'd be a great solution! <3 I also think that Alluka would have to lose the ability in order to become free and live a normal life. But how? I'm not sure if it'd be posible to just wish it away. And wishing it would indeed mean that Killua would have to deal with the three requests resulting from healing Gon, but I can't imagine those being very easy... I wonder if they can't do anything about the ability /before/ Alluka starts making requests again...
