I've Gone Crazy
I know it's been a while, a long while... I usually post something about work or my family but this time....
I've gone Crazy!
Or at least somewhat obsessed.
I found a new ship and *gasp* this time it doesn't have anything to do with CSI.
First off, I'm not a sci/fi geek. Or I never considered myself that. I like what I like. But, I am old enough (did I just say that ?) to remember and appreciate the old Star Trek series. Yeah, I wasn't my favorite but I enjoyed it none the less. When Star Trek: Next Generation came along, well I liked that better. But I never was a 'fan girl' in the way I am with CSI.... Until NOW!
I saw the new Star Trek and I was overly and really impressed. I am not a fan of J. J. Abrams. I never got into Lost or the new show he has on now. They were 'too out there' for me. I had doubts as to weather I'd like this new Star Trek. My husband and I were on a 'date' and I wasn't going to complain. I just had some doubts since TV usually doesn't translate well to the Big Screen and I have probably only seen two previous Star Trek movies.
Something about the way it was written and the storyline was so engrossing that I found myself really enjoying the movie. And more over, the very subtle and not-so-subtle romance between Spock and Uhura. That blew me away more than anything. But even if the movie didn't have any romance, I'd still like it. Not many movies as of late, I would pay the $10 to see again. This one is on my list.
I also have a request of my flist. Can anyone or does any one know where I can get said Star Trek icons, preferable Spock (whoever played him was phenomenal! ) and Lt. Uhura? That would be awesome since I can't and don't make fan art to save my life. LOL
That is all I have so far in my now crazy/obsessed life.
