I love my job
It's official. I've been officially made the teacher of the 4 and 5-year-old class. When I got hired, it was just a floater. I just went from room to room giving breaks and helping out. Now, I'm teaching and I LOVE IT!! I also get to write the curriculum and rearrange the classroom the way I like it. My specialty is childcare environments, so this is right up my alley.
It's been a while and my certifications need to be renewed, but, I'm having a great time. The hours are perfect and the kids are really great.
Plus, the owner/director is very cool. She is a very nice human being.
She knows that the money in child care is minimal at best so she offers other perks such as paid holidays and a paid vacation.
That's pretty generous in the child care industry.
And.. the best part is, I get to eat stuff like; peanut butter sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, and tater tots and all the coffee and candy (we the teachers) can handle. I'm just afraid I'll gain all the weight I worked hard to lose back.
Oh well, it's worth it. :)
