My first 8.01 quiz!

I did pretty shitty. I didn't fail it, but I'm pretty sure I came close. Agh! I did amazing in physics during MITES! Why did I do so poorly??? I mean, it doesn't really matter all that much, since it is worth a whopping 3% of our grade and I am on pass/no-record. But still, I would like to get at least Bs on these things! Why did the asshole even through the ball into the river?? It's fracking polluting!

What I am kind of worried about is how the class is taught. They teach it like you already know physics. And right now that is fine, since I DO know this stuff. But when it gets into electricity and magnetism, I will have no idea what is happening.

I also started memorizing lines for the Shakespeare Ensemble production of Midsummer Night's Dream. I'm Demetrius. Anyways, it is MUCH harder to memorize Shakespearean lines than it is to memorize lines in normal plays. I wasted a good hour on around 8 lines, out of the over 100 that I have. SHIT

Oh well, at least Monday is a suicide (prevention) day.

Saturday: Write 24.01 paper
18.01A - ALL OF IT
Sunday: Read some 5.112
Study 18.01A
lines!!
rehearsal 3-6
Monday: Study 18.01A more
start another pset
study 18.01A
memorize lines!

Also, 5.112 is really hard.

Also also, I think I am going to go to a conference on Tuesday on how to start a company in biological sciences. It isn't specifically for MIT students, I actually found it on a random website unrelated to MIT. Since ideally I would like to start such a company, I want to see exactly what it entails. Also, since there will be a bunch of people there from biotech companies, I am thinking I can definitely get an internship opportunity.

More on that. I think I want to do some crazy work in Africa or something while I am here, instead of just doing research all four summers. It apparently isn't all that hard to get a grant and such, and I will probably be doing research for the rest of my life. I want to try other things before it is too late.

Also also also, that career fair I went to was kind of meh. Apparently I missed the biology-ish one that was the day before. The one I went to was mainly computer science companies, hedge funds/big name traders, and mechanical engineering companies. Also, some companies involved creating algorithms to predict stock prices and stuff, which seems pretty sweet. At least I got some free stuff.

Oh, tomorrow I might go to the "Anything but Clothes" party. Except.. I don't really know what to wear! :P ..Seriously, I don't. Someone said to make stuff out of duck-tape. Perhaps I will do that.

Last weekend I went to a "modern art" party on my hall. It was pretty fun. I dressed as at art critic type. I pulled it off most excellently:

Yeah, I am going to go to sleep now.
