Oh, wow, this was heartbreaking and intense! I could totally see the machines doing that to the transgenics. *shivers*

Thank you! I like the idea of the machines using Manticore advances in genetics to start their own work into the fleshy outer skeleton :P Seems like something nasty they would do :P Glad you liked it!

And ha, I'm pretty darn happy that you loved the pairing and might revisit it because then there's more to read. Win/win!

The idea that people believe the Transgenics extinct and that Skynet used them for experiments is fantastic and yet heartbreaking. And the detail about the change in Derek's voice, both when he is ready to shoot Alec and when he believes him, was one of my favorite parts.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! :p I love Derek... I realize I could see myself using him like Dean.. need porn? Throw Derek or Dean in there! That'll work! For me anyway :P tee hee hee...

and the voice... I just kept thinking about the scene with Jessie. Don't want to say more about that in case anyone hasn't seen it... and it you have to ask.. you probably haven't... but ... yeah. I can see him screaming all to hell about metal but when it's personal??? :P

wow what an awesome story. It's a great ficlet because it could easily launch a whole verse if you were so inclined. I feel like there's so much more going on here and we just get a hint of their history. Awesome.

Derek and Alec, that's a great combo! They can compare barcode tatoos, and war stories. This would make a cool 'verse.

LOL! Friend away! I don't know how soon it will happen, but I would like to do more with this one eventually. Just have a pretty full plate atm. I love the Derek/Alec connection though so I do have plans to come back someday. So glad you liked it!
