I feel like I need a kick in the ass lately. In general, yes, but mostly writing wise. I told myself I would submit to a publisher. I've had my story beta'd (by 3 amazing people) and I'm still dragging my feet on it. I haven't finished my own edits and I'm not sure if it's because I can't decide if I need to change something on my story, or if

I know the feeling, I've been stuck on writing for over a year now, this is the second year I had to drop out of the writing for big bangs, because I just couldn't seem to focus enough to finish them.
And I was really looking forward to that Scott/Isaac fic I've been writing, yet I can't seem to finish it :-(

I am the same! I have a story I got back from beta a few weeks ago and I still haven't finished editing. It was a story I started ages ago. One night I just picked it up and finished it but it was really rough :P I want to write.. but finding the drive to sit and do it are totally different things....

it's one of my fave pairings on Teen Wolf, along with Scott/Derek, and dark pairing Scott/Peter. :-)

I've been struggling as well. I sign up for Nano and Camp Nano and get no where. I've started four original fics and the word count for each range from a couple hundred to a couple thousand. Then I stop writing until the next Nano.

I think part of my problem is that I need the accountability of having people waiting for the next installment, as well as the instant gratification of feedback.

I've kicked around the idea of posting a request asking for people willing to be alpha readers/cheerleaders. Unfortunately, I've been out of fandom for so long. Of course, it would be my luck people would offer and I would have to follow through. Which is kind of the point, but also scary.

Which story are you editing? I'm available as a sounding board as I am clearly willing to procrastinate in my own writing endeavors.

*hugs* Well any time you want a sounding board/cheerleader you know I'm available :P I feel the same way though. I don't post enough to know people anymore :P the fact that I don't pimp out my stories on the comms adds to that even more I think.

I'm still working on the one you looked at for me (Chrysalis) but I'm also looking at another story called Evolution (sci-fi) and I'm trying to finish writing a steampunk coming of age story called DawnFire Skies. (It started as a nano, but when one of my characters started to move away from the plot line I loved it and followed it but got stuck and haven't been able to get out of the pit I dug myself into :P)
