Good lord you scared me for all of two seconds when I saw this in my inbox. First, I want to say that I'm beyond tired today so I'm not firing on all cylinders just yet. And secondly, earlier in this week I had gotten the unfortunate message that one of my favorite authors is shutting her LJ and website down and removing everything from the internet (thankfully we have permission to keep her stories and pass them around). So I totally made that same leap when I saw "Goodbye" in the subject line for this entry. But then my more rational mind woke up and said "there's no way she's throwing in the towel" and actually read the entry.

So now that we are past all that drama, I am very glad to see this update. It was really sweet and dare I say very hopeful. The boys seem to be really taking off with the best foot forward and so far things seem great. Now of course I'll need to go back and re-read the previous bits just to 'refresh' my memory on the story. Ha like I wouldn't be doing that anyway.

I would never do that... I think I would go insane without fandom to help me escape from RL :P

Glad you liked it! I'm enjoying how the new start for the boys seems to be taking them to happier places. I'm sure other issues will come up eventually, but they're settling into a normal routine rather nicely for the moment :P

Thank you! I admit, I have a weak spot for fics that explore what Sam and Dean would have been like without John around :P I'm glad you're enjoying it too.

This was really good- totally a believable turn of events, given the givens, and I think you hit the right note of determination and sacrifice there too! The project bobby wants them to take on would be revolutionary, but necessary in the hunters world- and even if their name gets attached to it, that won't be a bad thing down the road, either. They'll want to be able to take pride in the Winchester reputation that John built-and honor his legacy.
I loved Dean's list of IO(John)calls- I can see that too!

And I do hope they get a dog:)

Oh there will certainly be more to come! LOL! And for some reason I love the idea of them getting a dog. We'll have to see if it happens :P

Their lives were different and their relationship was shifting and changing with the new roles they had, the way they had come to lean on each other and depend on each other to keep going after their father’s death. They were still Sam and Dean though, still brothers through and through. - So true!!

LOL! Thank you! More to come.. soon I hope! I have an idea for this already (thanks to an icon locknkey has :P) Hoping to get some verses update this week since i'm dropping off my last paper for the semester tonight! YEAH!
