RotM 1.50 Topic from 10/03/07 - "Have you ever been a hero?"
Have I ever been a hero?
Sure.
Lots of times.
Not that it really mattered because it’s what I do; what I’ve been doing since I was a kid.
I don’t mean to be a hero, it’s just what happens when you end up saving someone from the things you’ve been trained to hunt. Maybe in their eyes it’s a big deal but in mine not so much, it’s just what I do.
Of course it doesn’t hurt to pretend.
Women love a man in and out of uniform if you catch my drift. They’ll never know any different and what’s the harm? Not like they’re expecting a life long commitment anyhow; everyone’s a winner at the end of the day.
Shit happens and bad things happen to good people but fortunately for them Sam and I are there to pull their asses out of the fire. Anybody can be a hero; it’s just a matter of being in the right place at the right time - that’s all it is.
