Uncle Steve is very uncomfortable. Stephen stayed all night with me in the trailer. i don't think Steve noticed that. But he did notice Stephen's truck parked out front this morning. He noticed me in the kitchen cooking lunch for two, borrowing his plates without asking. He noticed me making coffee, which i don't generally drink. He noticed Stephen outside smoking a cigarette.
Uncle Steve is as tall as Stephen, but less honest. He is afraid of Stephen, intimidated by a man who commits with a woman twenty-five years younger. he knows we aren't playing games. he dreams of being with a hot young chick, like every man does. he also knows he would never actually do it. he couldnt respect a young woman. he would treat her like a child. everybody would think he was a predator. all his lesbian feminist friends, the mothers of his boys' friends, would stop bringing their children over. they would lose respect for him.
he's right. Stephen suffers from loss of social standing because of me. the difference is that Stephen respects me. he loves me level-vibes. Uncle Steve feels this, and can't reconcile with what he know about himself. he feel inferior to Stephen. and thus fears him.
The fish ridicules the duck for claiming flight is possible.
