The White House has admitted to telling news agencies to pull stories on Malia Obama visiting Mexico for spring break, Politico reports.
Kristina Schake, Communications Director to the First Lady, emailed Dylan Byers:
From the beginning of the administration, the White House has asked news outlets not to report on or photograph the Obama children when they are not with their parents and there is no vital news interest. We have reminded outlets of this request in order to protect the privacy and security of these girls.
The Blaze first noticed the disappearing stories Monday afternoon, when accounts of Malia and 12 friends visiting Oaxaca with 25 Secret Service agents mysteriously began turning into broken links.
However, in admitting to “reminding outlets” about not reporting on the Obama children when there is “no vital news interest,” the White House has also tacitly admitted that Malia is (or now maybe was) in Mexico for spring break. Additional evidence has surfaced confirming that. One site has published a photo of the Obamas going to church on Sunday. It notes that Malia is absent, and says that’s due to the Mexico trip:

That site has also posted alleged photos of the vacation, but we have decided not to repost those.
As The Blaze noted on Monday, a vacation for Malia in Mexico raises a slew of questions considering the State Department has warned American citizens against travel there.
In fact, the language contained in the State Department’s travel warning is quite ominous.
“[C]rime and violence are serious problems throughout the country and can occur anywhere,” the warning reads. “U.S. citizens have fallen victim to TCO activity, including homicide, gun battles, kidnapping, carjacking and highway robbery.” [Emphasis added] It continues later:
The rising number of kidnappings and disappearances throughout Mexico is of particular concern. Both local and expatriate communities have been victimized. In addition, local police have been implicated in some of these incidents. We strongly advise you to lower your profile and avoid displaying any evidence of wealth that might draw attention.
Additionally, the warning (dated February 8) notes that “U.S. government personnel and their families are prohibited from personal travel to all areas described as ‘defer non-essential travel’ and when travel for official purposes is essential it is conducted with extensive security precautions.” However, it adds that “USG personnel and their families are allowed to travel for personal reasons to the areas where no advisory is in effect or where the advisory is to exercise caution.”
According to the release, no specific warning has been issued for Oaxaca, where Malia is said to be. However, there have been concerns about that area in the past.

Could carrying a gun be messing with your mind? A new study from the University of Notre Dame found that if you’re holding a gun, you are more likely to think others are packing heat as well.
According to the release, the study was led by Notre Dame’s Associate Professor of Psychology James Brockmole, a specialist in human cognition and how the visual world guides behavior, with a colleague from Purdue University. The research team conducted five experiments where participants, who either held a toy gun or a neutral object, viewed images of people on a computer screen and were asked to determine if they were holding a gun or another object, such as soda bottle or cellphone:
The researchers varied the situation in each experiment - such as having the people in the images sometimes wear ski masks, changing the race of the person in the image or changing the reaction subjects were to have when they perceived the person in the image to hold a gun. Regardless of the situation the observers found themselves in, the study showed that responding with a gun biased observers to report “gun present” more than did responding with a ball. Thus, by virtue of affording the subject the opportunity to use a gun, he or she was more likely to classify objects in a scene as a gun and, as a result, to engage in threat-induced behavior, such as raising a firearm to shoot.

The researchers showed that the ability to act is a key factor in the effects by showing that simply letting observers see a nearby gun did not influence their behavior; holding and using the gun was important.
Brockmole said that this study shows that “people have a hard time separating their thoughts about what they perceive and their thoughts about how they can or should act.” Brockmole said in addition to “theoretical implications for event perception and object identification,” this research could also be considered for law enforcement and public safety implications. The infamous shooting of Amadou Diallo by plain clothes New York City police officers in 1999 comes to mind as an example. Diallo was unarmed and when approached by police at his doorstep who asked him to show his hands. Diallo reached into his pocket with his wallet in hand. In the low morning light, police identified this object as a gun and shot Diallo 19 times.

The media feeding frenzy surrounding the suspicious death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin continues, and yet more racially-motivated actors are climbing out of the woodwork. Last night, Al Sharpton invited the grieving parents and family attorney onto his show, and joined in venting rage against the Florida Justice system.
Whether or not the shooting was motivated by racial animus, groups with precisely that motivation are involved now. Enter the New Black Liberation Militia (NBLM), a militant group in the mold of the Black Panthers, headed by a man styling himself “Prince Najee Muhammad.“ The NBLM intends to march straight into Florida and perform a ”citizen’s arrest” on Martin’s shooter, George Zimmerman as a substitute for the arrest they believe should have happened. From the Associated Press story on this new development:
Members of a self-described black militia group will attempt a citizen’s arrest on a white neighborhood watch leader who has admitted to fatally shooting an unarmed African-American teen in an Orlando suburb, but has not been charged, a leader of the group said Thursday.
Members of The New Black Liberation Militia plan to take 28-year-old George Zimmerman to federal authorities this week since local police haven’t acted, said Najee Muhammad, a leader of the militia group.
“We’ll find him. We’ve got his mug shot and everything,” Muhammad said.
According to Business Insider, Trayvon Martin’s parents have already said they disagree with this proposed course of action. The NBLM doesn’t seem to care.
As to what means the NBLM plans to use to execute their would-be citizens’ arrest, a quick look at their website provides a good clue. Notice the following photos:
The NBLM is scarcely the first racially motivated group to attempt to make citizens’ arrests where they argue that the established criminal justice system has failed, especially in cases involving racial animus. Fortunately, the potentially violent consequences that usually happened in those cases may not have to be courted in this case. New evidence has come to light further suggesting that Martin may have been attacked, rather than the reverse. The Guardian reports:
In a dramatic press conference on Tuesday, the Martin family’s lawyer Benjamin Crump detailed how the unnamed girl - a minor who was so traumatised by Martin’s death she was taken to hospital at his wake - was talking to him on his cell phone in the minutes leading up to his death, and heard the altercation with his killer.[...]
“He says: ‘Oh, he’s right behind me. He’s right behind me again,’” Crump said the girl told him. “She says: ‘Run.’ He says: ‘I’m not going to run, I’m just going to walk fast.’
She then heard Martin saying “Why are you following me” and another voice saying “What are you doing here?” She told Crump they both repeated themselves, and then she thinks she heard Zimmerman push Martin “because his voice changes, like something interrupted his speech.” She heard an altercation and then the phone call was cut off, Crump said.
Phone records have confirmed that Martin was on the phone with the unnamed girl. Obviously, the call was not recorded, but in the absence of further evidence, this may be the breaking point that causes the Florida police to rethink their original decision not to arrest Zimmerman. In fact, at this point, even the authors of the bill that Zimmerman is using to defend himself are calling for his arrest.

The video is jaw-dropping. A young woman at Florida Atlantic University was captured on video going berserk in class during an apparent discussion on natural selection. But berserk might not do the incident justice: she absolutely loses it, threatening to kill the professor and saying “every ten thousand white fu**in’ white mother fu**ers would die.”
“You better shut the fu**up before I fu**ing kill you,” she can be seen yelling at her professor, violently whipping her hair back and forth.
The rant lasts about four minutes and even turns violent: at one point she strikes a male student in the head after appearing to call him a “bit**.” In addition to being violent, however, it’s also at times incoherent. Not surprisingly, it was captured by several students. One person has uploaded the video to YouTube with subtitles.* GRAPHIC WARNING - it is unedited:
So what had the student upset?
“They were talking about natural selection. They were talking about peacocks and how females choose their mates by their most feathers and the woman started asking about how that killed all black people,” one FAU student told WPEC-TV.
HuffPo has identified the woman as 24-year-old Jonatha Carr. It has more on what set her off:
Fellow student Rachel Bustamante wrote that Carr was asking “absurd questions” during a review section about female selection among peacocks, and eventually went on to ask why “evolution kills black people” in an increasingly insistent manner.
When Dr. Stephen Kajiura apparently couldn‘t satisfactorily address Carr’s question, she began yelling as students cleared the area around her desk, rose from her seat and hit a male classmate in the forehead as she screamed in his face.
The woman was reportedly removed from class by staff and then taken to a local hospital. Additional video posted on YouTube alleges to show the woman outside the building. In it, she can be seen resisting officers trying to load her in a squad car. She can be heard screaming as officers eventually have to load her in the car head first. Other in the background comment on the use of a taser, and WSVN-TV reports one was used:

Turning the other cheek is a Biblical teaching that can be difficult to live out in practice.
That being said, it seems at least one group of Christians is able to embrace the tenet with grace and humility. A church in Athens, Texas, decided to help an atheist in need by raising money for his groceries and other essentials.
The individual who received the aide, Patrick Greene, had recently threatened to sue over the presence of a nativity scene on public property. He abandoned the lawsuit, the Friendly Atheist blog reports, when he found out that he was suffering from a serious eye condition that could lead to blindness.
If the nativity scene was, again, erected on public land, Greene previously said he would sue ”to show that Christianity does not rule my state of Texas, the Constitution does. Christianity is only one of the many faiths represented in this state.” Now, he seems to be singing a very different tune.
The symbol he was targeting may ring a bell. Remember when thousands of Christians rallied in Texas back in December in support a local nativity scene? The Freedom From Religion Foundation, as you may recall, was demanding that it be removed from the Henderson County Courthouse lawn. Greene was among those opposed to it.
Despite the rift between Greene and the Christians supporting the scene, Jessica Crye, an Athens woman, rallied believers to assist Greene in paying for groceries and other needs following his retirement as a result of the illness.
“I knew of his lawsuit and threats and thought how sad it was for him to be so bitter toward Christians,” Crye is quoted in TylerPaper.com. “I thought he must have never felt the love of God through Christians. I also thought about how scary that must be.”
So, she and her church stepped in and decided to put the past - even the very recent threats of a lawsuit over a religious structure they believe in so deeply - behind them. TylerPaper.com continues:
Now retired, Greene replied that he needed some funds for groceries and other expenses to carry him and his wife, Karen, while they got squared away with the start-up of Social Security income and pay their taxes.
A check was sent. Greene said he and his wife debated whether the check might be for $10 or maybe $50 or even $60.
To their astonishment that any Christian would ignore the fact that they are atheist and help, the check was for $400.
“Why not turn this into something else? This is a great opportunity to turn the other cheek and show God’s love,” Crye said.
Her pastor, Rev. Erick Graham of Sand Springs Church, said that giving Greene the $400 dollars was a no-brainer.
“We didn’t have to think about it or pray about (it). We saw the need, he said. “We don’t discriminate on who we help, whether they are Christians or non-Christians, church members or not. We just help those with a need.”
In addition to these funds, another $500 was donated by atheists who were also moved by Greene’s plight. The man and his wife were so moved by the gesture that they actually purchased an electrical star for the nativity scene and had it shipped to Henderson County.
“I saw the nativity scene on a video on YouTube. There’s no star on top of it. Shouldn’t there be one?,” Greene pondered. “I just hope that the Christians that weren‘t a part of this contribution to us don’t mind that an atheist bought them a star.”

During a segment of the Rush Limbaugh show on Thursday, the host took on President Obama for claiming he “approved” the construction of the new Keystone XL pipeline from Cushing, Okla., to the Gulf.
“Obama could not have stopped this leg of the Keystone pipeline if he’d wanted to,” Limbaugh said. “He’s simply there…There’s no other way to say it. He’s just glomming onto it. It‘s like trying to be present when the Ten Commandments are given at the burning bush and claiming you wrote ’em.”
Well, that’s not exactly how that story goes, but you get the idea.
Limbaugh was amazed that the president would try to position himself as a proponent of oil drilling.
“The guy who steadfastly opposes drilling for oil and has not issued any permits to speak of, particularly since Gulf oil drilling moratorium - the guy who has made his name opposing the Keystone pipeline - is now out taking credit for it!” Limbaugh said
“The only thing that a president can stop, again, is an international pipeline. In fact, the Keystone XL Pipeline is the first international pipeline that has ever been denied by a president. Keystone is the first international pipeline ever denied!” he added.
“And he was denying it as recently as Monday. And he was criticizing it as recently as Tuesday. And he was telling people that there was no silver bullet or magic bullet to any new oil in this country however we got it, via drilling or via pipeline. And in a space of less than 48 hours, we have had the equivalent of an atheist become the pope on oil and on energy. The Keystone XL Pipeline is the first time in history a presidential permit for a cross-border pipeline has ever been denied.”
“Every bit of this is irritating,” Limbaugh said.

“In his speech this morning, Obama said, ‘Producing more oil and gas here at home will continue to be a critical part of our energy strategy.’” Limbaugh said.
“Will continue to be! This is the guy standing in the way of oil and gas production. This is the guy throwing money away on wind and solar and electric cars…Obama is ‘producing more oil and gas here at home’?” Limbaugh asked.
He continued:
This is what the Democrats do, folks. This is what the left does. There is no moral core. There‘s no concern for truth and there’s no concern for being caught lying, because Obama knows that his number one support group’s not gonna call him on it. The only people who are gonna call him on it are people like me, and they’re not worried about that. They’ve got the AP on their side. They’ve got the Washington Post, the New York Times. They don’t care. But what it indicates is the good news about this: They know how deep the trouble Obama is in. They know how deep it is. They know the problems he’s got.
We have this: 78 percent of the people following this want the Keystone pipeline, and Obama’s in the 22 percent opposing it. And his 22 percent counts for a hundred percent because he can stop it, and he has stopped it. So now he’s out trying to make this little connection between Oklahoma and Texas appear to be the whole thing having been authorized. They’re in deep trouble. They have the support, when you boil it all down, of no more than 30 percent of people in this country. When you boil it all down, Obama and the Democrats have no more than 30 percent. Why do they get more votes than that? Well, once again: How many people do you think are going to hear this stuff today and think it’s true?
To put it simply: “This is such a crock.”

Last weekend in the city of Chicago alone, gangbangers slaughtered ten people and wounded another forty. The youngest fatality is only six years old. The youngest person wounded is only one-year-old. Many of the victim were pedestrians sprayed with bullets in drive by shootings. The national news has said nothing about this.
So why does one shooting in Florida warrant weeks of national news? Why has there been thousands of articles a day, for the last four days, about one single shooting?
Almost all of the news items about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin contains a combination of false statements, opinions presented as facts, transparent distortions, and a complete absence of some of the most relevant details. Almost all news items are written soley from the point of view of the grieving family. The media also fills their articles with outdated baby-faced pictures of Trayvon. Very few include that he was a towering 6'2” football player. Is the media really reporting the news, or is this classic agitation/propaganda to advance a political agenda.
Literally thousands of articles contain at least one false statement in the first couple of lines. They usually read "George ZImmerman, a white man," or "shoot by a white man." Zimmerman is described by family as a multiracial Hispanic. His appearance is clearly that of a Latino/Mestizo individual. However, the media wants him to be white because that better fits the political narrative they are trying to artificially create. Many news articles have also claimed the neighborhood is "mostly white." This is also a lie. The neighborhood is only 49% white. It is over half non-white.
All the way back on February 27th, the local Orlando Fox station interviewed the witness who dialed 911. Almost none of the thousands of articles since have mentioned any of the details described by the witness. Some, however, have attributed false statements to this witness. On March 16th, the Sanford police department released new details to the Orlando Sentinel. Once again, these details have been ignored or changed by the media.
The witness reports that George Zimmerman was on the ground and Trayvon is on top of him punching him.
The witness says that George Zimmerman was screaming and yelling for help.
Police arrive and find Zimmerman bleeding on his face and the back of his head. He also has had grass stains on his back. All this confirms the story told by Zimmerman and the witness.
Police play the 911 tape for Trayvon Martin's father, who tells police that the voice screaming is not the voice of his son.
The neighborhood this took place in has seen a lot of crime. Would you be surprised to learn that there were eight burglaries, nine thefts, and a shooting just in the past year? In fact, the local homeowners' association reports that George Zimmerman actually caught one thief and aided in the apprehension of other criminals. The Miami Herald wrote about this on March 17th. None of the thousands of articles and cable news segments that came after, thought this was important.
In fact the Miami Herald goes on to interview neighbor, Ibrahim Rashada, who is black. Rashada confirms that there has been a lot of crime in the neighborhood and indicates to the reporter that the perpetrators are usually black.
The media also characterizes Trayvon as a "model student." In fact, he under a five day suspension when the shooting took place. That is why he was staying at a house so far from his school on a school night. A laywer for Trayvon's family has blocked access to his school records. However, you have to do something pretty bad to get suspended for five days.
Now that you know the suppressed facts of the case, you can for form a better more balanced opinion. Maybe you still think Zimmerman was wrong to pull the trigger. However, I think you will come to the conclusion that the "mainstream" clearly is pushing an agenda. Even when they have to grossly alter and adjust a story to fit that agenda.

In the latest of several eyewitness reports from the Trayvon Martin shooting, a woman named Mary Cutcher has come forward.
In an interview airing on Dateline Sunday, Cutcher said that she and her roommate ran outside after hearing the shot. Then, they saw George Zimmerman holding Trayvon Martin’s face on the ground. ”He never tried to help,” she said.
Cutcher’s account paints a drastically different picture than that of another eyewitness who came forward yesterday. The individual, who prefers to remain unnamed, claims that Trayvon attacked Zimmerman before he was shot. Joe Oliver, George Zimmerman’s longtime friend, has also been appearing on television programs to say that Zimmerman is not a racist, but cannot stop crying and is afraid for his life.
New reports from the New York Post are also shedding light on Zimmerman’s character. The Post writes that Zimmerman wanted to join the police force, but didn’t make it. Instead he “played the part” in his community, “[calling] the police at least 46 times within the last year - many of those times [to] report ‘suspicious’ African-Americans within the subdivision.”
Trayvon Martin’s shooting has caused mass outrage throughout the nation.
Jesse Jackson spoke to a crowd of 1,600 at a Baptist Church in Eatonville, Florida Sunday, where he asked, “How do we go from a moment to a movement that creates fundamental change? If it’s a moment, we go home. If it’s a movement, we go to war.”
He continued by saying “there is power in the blood of the innocent” and compared Trayvon Martin‘s death to Emmett Till’s in 1955. “Blacks are under attack,” he said.

On Saturday, protesters gathered in New York bolstered by campaigners from Occupy Wall Street, and marched from Zuccotti Park to Union Square, with many activists dressed in hoodies to represent the clothes Martin was wearing when he was shot dead by George Zimmerman.

Meanwhile, the Rev Al Sharpton said today that activists are planning a ‘wave of civil disobedience.’
Speaking outside of his New York City headquarters today, Rev Sharpton said that it is important to show ‘sustained indignation’ over Martin’s death.
He also appeared on the Today show this morning and said that the legal system failed Trayvon Martin and his family.

Further complications have emerged in the story of the mysterious death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. Specifically, previous information about Trayvon Martin’s suspension - which was allegedly for “tardiness” - has now been reported to be incomplete by the Miami Herald.
Moreover, following a week of coverage suggesting the teen was spitefully attacked in cold blood, more details are now emerging as a statement by the shooter, George Zimmerman, suggests there may have been more of a confrontation than was believed at first.
First, Martin’s school suspension record. According to an investigation by the Miami Herald, Martin was suspended twice - once in October of last year for graffiti, and prior to the shooting for possession of a bag with traces of marijuana and a “marijuana pipe.” Martin was also found in possession of some jewelry and what the Herald describes as a “burglary tool,” though these items were not convincingly established as being owned by Martin himself, following an independent investigation by police.
Both offenses, which would fall under the umbrellas of “vandalism” and “possession or use of alcohol and/or controlled substances,” would be sufficient to merit ten day suspensions under district policy. Martin was apparently also suspended at an indeterminate time in the past for tardiness and/or truancy, though the Herald does not specify for how long.
Martin’s family and family attorney have dismissed the charges as attempts at “demonizing” him. As contrary evidence, they cite a previous school’s wish for Martin to remain there because he was a good student.
Second, after being universally blasted for his actions, George Zimmerman’s written statement to the police raises further doubts about what happened on the night in question. “Good Morning America” reports on Zimmerman’s explanation:
George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch crime captain who shot dead 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, originally told police in a written statement that Martin knocked him down with a punch to the nose, repeatedly slammed his head on the ground and tried to take his gun, a police source told ABC News.
Zimmerman had claimed he had called police about Martin, whom he found suspicious, then went back to his car when Martin attacked him, punching him.[...]
In addition, an eyewitness, 13-year-old Austin Brown, told police he saw a man fitting Zimmerman’s description lying on the grass moaning and crying for help just seconds before he heard the gunshot that killed Martin.
Zimmerman was treated for a head wound after the incident. How he received it has not been decisively established. Police have also told the media that while their investigation of the shooting may be completed in a few days, there will likely be no charges for weeks, if they come at all.

The White House has admitted to telling news agencies to pull stories on Malia Obama visiting Mexico for spring break, Politico reports.
Kristina Schake, Communications Director to the First Lady, emailed Dylan Byers:
From the beginning of the administration, the White House has asked news outlets not to report on or photograph the Obama children when they are not with their parents and there is no vital news interest. We have reminded outlets of this request in order to protect the privacy and security of these girls.
The Blaze first noticed the disappearing stories Monday afternoon, when accounts of Malia and 12 friends visiting Oaxaca with 25 Secret Service agents mysteriously began turning into broken links.
However, in admitting to “reminding outlets” about not reporting on the Obama children when there is “no vital news interest,” the White House has also tacitly admitted that Malia is (or now maybe was) in Mexico for spring break. Additional evidence has surfaced confirming that. One site has published a photo of the Obamas going to church on Sunday. It notes that Malia is absent, and says that’s due to the Mexico trip:

As The Blaze noted on Monday, a vacation for Malia in Mexico raises a slew of questions considering the State Department has warned American citizens against travel there.
In fact, the language contained in the State Department’s travel warning is quite ominous.
“[C]rime and violence are serious problems throughout the country and can occur anywhere,” the warning reads. “U.S. citizens have fallen victim to TCO activity, including homicide, gun battles, kidnapping, carjacking and highway robbery.” [Emphasis added] It continues later:
The rising number of kidnappings and disappearances throughout Mexico is of particular concern. Both local and expatriate communities have been victimized. In addition, local police have been implicated in some of these incidents. We strongly advise you to lower your profile and avoid displaying any evidence of wealth that might draw attention.
Additionally, the warning (dated February 8) notes that “U.S. government personnel and their families are prohibited from personal travel to all areas described as ‘defer non-essential travel’ and when travel for official purposes is essential it is conducted with extensive security precautions.” However, it adds that “USG personnel and their families are allowed to travel for personal reasons to the areas where no advisory is in effect or where the advisory is to exercise caution.”
According to the release, no specific warning has been issued for Oaxaca, where Malia is said to be. However, there have been concerns about that area in the past.

Could carrying a gun be messing with your mind? A new study from the University of Notre Dame found that if you’re holding a gun, you are more likely to think others are packing heat as well.
According to the release, the study was led by Notre Dame’s Associate Professor of Psychology James Brockmole, a specialist in human cognition and how the visual world guides behavior, with a colleague from Purdue University. The research team conducted five experiments where participants, who either held a toy gun or a neutral object, viewed images of people on a computer screen and were asked to determine if they were holding a gun or another object, such as soda bottle or cellphone:
The researchers varied the situation in each experiment - such as having the people in the images sometimes wear ski masks, changing the race of the person in the image or changing the reaction subjects were to have when they perceived the person in the image to hold a gun. Regardless of the situation the observers found themselves in, the study showed that responding with a gun biased observers to report “gun present” more than did responding with a ball. Thus, by virtue of affording the subject the opportunity to use a gun, he or she was more likely to classify objects in a scene as a gun and, as a result, to engage in threat-induced behavior, such as raising a firearm to shoot.

The researchers showed that the ability to act is a key factor in the effects by showing that simply letting observers see a nearby gun did not influence their behavior; holding and using the gun was important.
Brockmole said that this study shows that “people have a hard time separating their thoughts about what they perceive and their thoughts about how they can or should act.” Brockmole said in addition to “theoretical implications for event perception and object identification,” this research could also be considered for law enforcement and public safety implications. The infamous shooting of Amadou Diallo by plain clothes New York City police officers in 1999 comes to mind as an example. Diallo was unarmed and when approached by police at his doorstep who asked him to show his hands. Diallo reached into his pocket with his wallet in hand. In the low morning light, police identified this object as a gun and shot Diallo 19 times.

The media feeding frenzy surrounding the suspicious death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin continues, and yet more racially-motivated actors are climbing out of the woodwork. Last night, Al Sharpton invited the grieving parents and family attorney onto his show, and joined in venting rage against the Florida Justice system.
Whether or not the shooting was motivated by racial animus, groups with precisely that motivation are involved now. Enter the New Black Liberation Militia (NBLM), a militant group in the mold of the Black Panthers, headed by a man styling himself “Prince Najee Muhammad.“ The NBLM intends to march straight into Florida and perform a ”citizen’s arrest” on Martin’s shooter, George Zimmerman as a substitute for the arrest they believe should have happened. From the Associated Press story on this new development:
Members of a self-described black militia group will attempt a citizen’s arrest on a white neighborhood watch leader who has admitted to fatally shooting an unarmed African-American teen in an Orlando suburb, but has not been charged, a leader of the group said Thursday.
Members of The New Black Liberation Militia plan to take 28-year-old George Zimmerman to federal authorities this week since local police haven’t acted, said Najee Muhammad, a leader of the militia group.
“We’ll find him. We’ve got his mug shot and everything,” Muhammad said.
According to Business Insider, Trayvon Martin’s parents have already said they disagree with this proposed course of action. The NBLM doesn’t seem to care.
As to what means the NBLM plans to use to execute their would-be citizens’ arrest, a quick look at their website provides a good clue. Notice the following photos:
The NBLM is scarcely the first racially motivated group to attempt to make citizens’ arrests where they argue that the established criminal justice system has failed, especially in cases involving racial animus. Fortunately, the potentially violent consequences that usually happened in those cases may not have to be courted in this case. New evidence has come to light further suggesting that Martin may have been attacked, rather than the reverse. The Guardian reports:
In a dramatic press conference on Tuesday, the Martin family’s lawyer Benjamin Crump detailed how the unnamed girl - a minor who was so traumatised by Martin’s death she was taken to hospital at his wake - was talking to him on his cell phone in the minutes leading up to his death, and heard the altercation with his killer.[...]
“He says: ‘Oh, he’s right behind me. He’s right behind me again,’” Crump said the girl told him. “She says: ‘Run.’ He says: ‘I’m not going to run, I’m just going to walk fast.’
She then heard Martin saying “Why are you following me” and another voice saying “What are you doing here?” She told Crump they both repeated themselves, and then she thinks she heard Zimmerman push Martin “because his voice changes, like something interrupted his speech.” She heard an altercation and then the phone call was cut off, Crump said.
Phone records have confirmed that Martin was on the phone with the unnamed girl. Obviously, the call was not recorded, but in the absence of further evidence, this may be the breaking point that causes the Florida police to rethink their original decision not to arrest Zimmerman. In fact, at this point, even the authors of the bill that Zimmerman is using to defend himself are calling for his arrest.

The video is jaw-dropping. A young woman at Florida Atlantic University was captured on video going berserk in class during an apparent discussion on natural selection. But berserk might not do the incident justice: she absolutely loses it, threatening to kill the professor and saying “every ten thousand white fu**in’ white mother fu**ers would die.”
“You better shut the fu**up before I fu**ing kill you,” she can be seen yelling at her professor, violently whipping her hair back and forth.
The rant lasts about four minutes and even turns violent: at one point she strikes a male student in the head after appearing to call him a “bit**.” In addition to being violent, however, it’s also at times incoherent. Not surprisingly, it was captured by several students. One person has uploaded the video to YouTube with subtitles.* GRAPHIC WARNING - it is unedited:
So what had the student upset?
“They were talking about natural selection. They were talking about peacocks and how females choose their mates by their most feathers and the woman started asking about how that killed all black people,” one FAU student told WPEC-TV.
HuffPo has identified the woman as 24-year-old Jonatha Carr. It has more on what set her off:
Fellow student Rachel Bustamante wrote that Carr was asking “absurd questions” during a review section about female selection among peacocks, and eventually went on to ask why “evolution kills black people” in an increasingly insistent manner.
When Dr. Stephen Kajiura apparently couldn‘t satisfactorily address Carr’s question, she began yelling as students cleared the area around her desk, rose from her seat and hit a male classmate in the forehead as she screamed in his face.
The woman was reportedly removed from class by staff and then taken to a local hospital. Additional video posted on YouTube alleges to show the woman outside the building. In it, she can be seen resisting officers trying to load her in a squad car. She can be heard screaming as officers eventually have to load her in the car head first. Other in the background comment on the use of a taser, and WSVN-TV reports one was used:

Turning the other cheek is a Biblical teaching that can be difficult to live out in practice.
That being said, it seems at least one group of Christians is able to embrace the tenet with grace and humility. A church in Athens, Texas, decided to help an atheist in need by raising money for his groceries and other essentials.
The individual who received the aide, Patrick Greene, had recently threatened to sue over the presence of a nativity scene on public property. He abandoned the lawsuit, the Friendly Atheist blog reports, when he found out that he was suffering from a serious eye condition that could lead to blindness.
If the nativity scene was, again, erected on public land, Greene previously said he would sue ”to show that Christianity does not rule my state of Texas, the Constitution does. Christianity is only one of the many faiths represented in this state.” Now, he seems to be singing a very different tune.
The symbol he was targeting may ring a bell. Remember when thousands of Christians rallied in Texas back in December in support a local nativity scene? The Freedom From Religion Foundation, as you may recall, was demanding that it be removed from the Henderson County Courthouse lawn. Greene was among those opposed to it.
Despite the rift between Greene and the Christians supporting the scene, Jessica Crye, an Athens woman, rallied believers to assist Greene in paying for groceries and other needs following his retirement as a result of the illness.
“I knew of his lawsuit and threats and thought how sad it was for him to be so bitter toward Christians,” Crye is quoted in TylerPaper.com. “I thought he must have never felt the love of God through Christians. I also thought about how scary that must be.”
So, she and her church stepped in and decided to put the past - even the very recent threats of a lawsuit over a religious structure they believe in so deeply - behind them. TylerPaper.com continues:
Now retired, Greene replied that he needed some funds for groceries and other expenses to carry him and his wife, Karen, while they got squared away with the start-up of Social Security income and pay their taxes.
A check was sent. Greene said he and his wife debated whether the check might be for $10 or maybe $50 or even $60.
To their astonishment that any Christian would ignore the fact that they are atheist and help, the check was for $400.
“Why not turn this into something else? This is a great opportunity to turn the other cheek and show God’s love,” Crye said.
Her pastor, Rev. Erick Graham of Sand Springs Church, said that giving Greene the $400 dollars was a no-brainer.
“We didn’t have to think about it or pray about (it). We saw the need, he said. “We don’t discriminate on who we help, whether they are Christians or non-Christians, church members or not. We just help those with a need.”
In addition to these funds, another $500 was donated by atheists who were also moved by Greene’s plight. The man and his wife were so moved by the gesture that they actually purchased an electrical star for the nativity scene and had it shipped to Henderson County.
“I saw the nativity scene on a video on YouTube. There’s no star on top of it. Shouldn’t there be one?,” Greene pondered. “I just hope that the Christians that weren‘t a part of this contribution to us don’t mind that an atheist bought them a star.”

During a segment of the Rush Limbaugh show on Thursday, the host took on President Obama for claiming he “approved” the construction of the new Keystone XL pipeline from Cushing, Okla., to the Gulf.
“Obama could not have stopped this leg of the Keystone pipeline if he’d wanted to,” Limbaugh said. “He’s simply there…There’s no other way to say it. He’s just glomming onto it. It‘s like trying to be present when the Ten Commandments are given at the burning bush and claiming you wrote ’em.”
Well, that’s not exactly how that story goes, but you get the idea.
Limbaugh was amazed that the president would try to position himself as a proponent of oil drilling.
“The guy who steadfastly opposes drilling for oil and has not issued any permits to speak of, particularly since Gulf oil drilling moratorium - the guy who has made his name opposing the Keystone pipeline - is now out taking credit for it!” Limbaugh said
“The only thing that a president can stop, again, is an international pipeline. In fact, the Keystone XL Pipeline is the first international pipeline that has ever been denied by a president. Keystone is the first international pipeline ever denied!” he added.
“And he was denying it as recently as Monday. And he was criticizing it as recently as Tuesday. And he was telling people that there was no silver bullet or magic bullet to any new oil in this country however we got it, via drilling or via pipeline. And in a space of less than 48 hours, we have had the equivalent of an atheist become the pope on oil and on energy. The Keystone XL Pipeline is the first time in history a presidential permit for a cross-border pipeline has ever been denied.”
“Every bit of this is irritating,” Limbaugh said.

“In his speech this morning, Obama said, ‘Producing more oil and gas here at home will continue to be a critical part of our energy strategy.’” Limbaugh said.
“Will continue to be! This is the guy standing in the way of oil and gas production. This is the guy throwing money away on wind and solar and electric cars…Obama is ‘producing more oil and gas here at home’?” Limbaugh asked.
He continued:
This is what the Democrats do, folks. This is what the left does. There is no moral core. There‘s no concern for truth and there’s no concern for being caught lying, because Obama knows that his number one support group’s not gonna call him on it. The only people who are gonna call him on it are people like me, and they’re not worried about that. They’ve got the AP on their side. They’ve got the Washington Post, the New York Times. They don’t care. But what it indicates is the good news about this: They know how deep the trouble Obama is in. They know how deep it is. They know the problems he’s got.
We have this: 78 percent of the people following this want the Keystone pipeline, and Obama’s in the 22 percent opposing it. And his 22 percent counts for a hundred percent because he can stop it, and he has stopped it. So now he’s out trying to make this little connection between Oklahoma and Texas appear to be the whole thing having been authorized. They’re in deep trouble. They have the support, when you boil it all down, of no more than 30 percent of people in this country. When you boil it all down, Obama and the Democrats have no more than 30 percent. Why do they get more votes than that? Well, once again: How many people do you think are going to hear this stuff today and think it’s true?
To put it simply: “This is such a crock.”

Last weekend in the city of Chicago alone, gangbangers slaughtered ten people and wounded another forty. The youngest fatality is only six years old. The youngest person wounded is only one-year-old. Many of the victim were pedestrians sprayed with bullets in drive by shootings. The national news has said nothing about this.
So why does one shooting in Florida warrant weeks of national news? Why has there been thousands of articles a day, for the last four days, about one single shooting?
Almost all of the news items about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin contains a combination of false statements, opinions presented as facts, transparent distortions, and a complete absence of some of the most relevant details. Almost all news items are written soley from the point of view of the grieving family. The media also fills their articles with outdated baby-faced pictures of Trayvon. Very few include that he was a towering 6'2” football player. Is the media really reporting the news, or is this classic agitation/propaganda to advance a political agenda.
Literally thousands of articles contain at least one false statement in the first couple of lines. They usually read "George ZImmerman, a white man," or "shoot by a white man." Zimmerman is described by family as a multiracial Hispanic. His appearance is clearly that of a Latino/Mestizo individual. However, the media wants him to be white because that better fits the political narrative they are trying to artificially create. Many news articles have also claimed the neighborhood is "mostly white." This is also a lie. The neighborhood is only 49% white. It is over half non-white.
All the way back on February 27th, the local Orlando Fox station interviewed the witness who dialed 911. Almost none of the thousands of articles since have mentioned any of the details described by the witness. Some, however, have attributed false statements to this witness. On March 16th, the Sanford police department released new details to the Orlando Sentinel. Once again, these details have been ignored or changed by the media.
The witness reports that George Zimmerman was on the ground and Trayvon is on top of him punching him.
The witness says that George Zimmerman was screaming and yelling for help.
Police arrive and find Zimmerman bleeding on his face and the back of his head. He also has had grass stains on his back. All this confirms the story told by Zimmerman and the witness.
Police play the 911 tape for Trayvon Martin's father, who tells police that the voice screaming is not the voice of his son.
The neighborhood this took place in has seen a lot of crime. Would you be surprised to learn that there were eight burglaries, nine thefts, and a shooting just in the past year? In fact, the local homeowners' association reports that George Zimmerman actually caught one thief and aided in the apprehension of other criminals. The Miami Herald wrote about this on March 17th. None of the thousands of articles and cable news segments that came after, thought this was important.
In fact the Miami Herald goes on to interview neighbor, Ibrahim Rashada, who is black. Rashada confirms that there has been a lot of crime in the neighborhood and indicates to the reporter that the perpetrators are usually black.
The media also characterizes Trayvon as a "model student." In fact, he under a five day suspension when the shooting took place. That is why he was staying at a house so far from his school on a school night. A laywer for Trayvon's family has blocked access to his school records. However, you have to do something pretty bad to get suspended for five days.
Now that you know the suppressed facts of the case, you can for form a better more balanced opinion. Maybe you still think Zimmerman was wrong to pull the trigger. However, I think you will come to the conclusion that the "mainstream" clearly is pushing an agenda. Even when they have to grossly alter and adjust a story to fit that agenda.

In the latest of several eyewitness reports from the Trayvon Martin shooting, a woman named Mary Cutcher has come forward.
In an interview airing on Dateline Sunday, Cutcher said that she and her roommate ran outside after hearing the shot. Then, they saw George Zimmerman holding Trayvon Martin’s face on the ground. ”He never tried to help,” she said.
Cutcher’s account paints a drastically different picture than that of another eyewitness who came forward yesterday. The individual, who prefers to remain unnamed, claims that Trayvon attacked Zimmerman before he was shot. Joe Oliver, George Zimmerman’s longtime friend, has also been appearing on television programs to say that Zimmerman is not a racist, but cannot stop crying and is afraid for his life.
New reports from the New York Post are also shedding light on Zimmerman’s character. The Post writes that Zimmerman wanted to join the police force, but didn’t make it. Instead he “played the part” in his community, “[calling] the police at least 46 times within the last year - many of those times [to] report ‘suspicious’ African-Americans within the subdivision.”
Trayvon Martin’s shooting has caused mass outrage throughout the nation.
Jesse Jackson spoke to a crowd of 1,600 at a Baptist Church in Eatonville, Florida Sunday, where he asked, “How do we go from a moment to a movement that creates fundamental change? If it’s a moment, we go home. If it’s a movement, we go to war.”
He continued by saying “there is power in the blood of the innocent” and compared Trayvon Martin‘s death to Emmett Till’s in 1955. “Blacks are under attack,” he said.

On Saturday, protesters gathered in New York bolstered by campaigners from Occupy Wall Street, and marched from Zuccotti Park to Union Square, with many activists dressed in hoodies to represent the clothes Martin was wearing when he was shot dead by George Zimmerman.

Meanwhile, the Rev Al Sharpton said today that activists are planning a ‘wave of civil disobedience.’
Speaking outside of his New York City headquarters today, Rev Sharpton said that it is important to show ‘sustained indignation’ over Martin’s death.
He also appeared on the Today show this morning and said that the legal system failed Trayvon Martin and his family.

Further complications have emerged in the story of the mysterious death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. Specifically, previous information about Trayvon Martin’s suspension - which was allegedly for “tardiness” - has now been reported to be incomplete by the Miami Herald.
Moreover, following a week of coverage suggesting the teen was spitefully attacked in cold blood, more details are now emerging as a statement by the shooter, George Zimmerman, suggests there may have been more of a confrontation than was believed at first.
First, Martin’s school suspension record. According to an investigation by the Miami Herald, Martin was suspended twice - once in October of last year for graffiti, and prior to the shooting for possession of a bag with traces of marijuana and a “marijuana pipe.” Martin was also found in possession of some jewelry and what the Herald describes as a “burglary tool,” though these items were not convincingly established as being owned by Martin himself, following an independent investigation by police.
Both offenses, which would fall under the umbrellas of “vandalism” and “possession or use of alcohol and/or controlled substances,” would be sufficient to merit ten day suspensions under district policy. Martin was apparently also suspended at an indeterminate time in the past for tardiness and/or truancy, though the Herald does not specify for how long.
Martin’s family and family attorney have dismissed the charges as attempts at “demonizing” him. As contrary evidence, they cite a previous school’s wish for Martin to remain there because he was a good student.
Second, after being universally blasted for his actions, George Zimmerman’s written statement to the police raises further doubts about what happened on the night in question. “Good Morning America” reports on Zimmerman’s explanation:
George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch crime captain who shot dead 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, originally told police in a written statement that Martin knocked him down with a punch to the nose, repeatedly slammed his head on the ground and tried to take his gun, a police source told ABC News.
Zimmerman had claimed he had called police about Martin, whom he found suspicious, then went back to his car when Martin attacked him, punching him.[...]
In addition, an eyewitness, 13-year-old Austin Brown, told police he saw a man fitting Zimmerman’s description lying on the grass moaning and crying for help just seconds before he heard the gunshot that killed Martin.
Zimmerman was treated for a head wound after the incident. How he received it has not been decisively established. Police have also told the media that while their investigation of the shooting may be completed in a few days, there will likely be no charges for weeks, if they come at all.
