[ Drizzt just stares at the screen, surprised to find a kindred spirit amongst the people of Somarium. Or as much of a kindred spirit as he can assume based on that one similarity. ]

There's no need to apologize. He was dead before that battle... [ Sighs. ] I'm sorry for your loss as well.

It was no accident. [ No, because Zak took that plunge into the acid himself. That body that claimed him needed to be destroyed. ] He was not my mentor then, he was not my father. He was everything but Zaknafein Do'Urden, he was trapped.

There was nothing that could be done, and it was for the best. [ or that's what he would tell himself. That's what Zak had wanted. ]

It doesn't matter now, and it was just a dream. One I've had many times before.

I see. I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm certain he wouldn't want you lingering on it. or blaming yourself.

[ Drizzt could sit around a blame himself for Zaknafein's death, and he did, but he knew the elder drow wanted it then. He would have rather his father's soul be free instead of trapped in a monster controlled by the Matron Mother of house Do'Urden. ]

He wouldn't, but as the dream implies, I can be very stubborn. [ That was a joke. Drizzt has been internally awkward, thinking the man may just not have noticed he was a drow. Maybe he didn't care, not many seemed to here. ]

It's fine, you would not be the first. [ Then he randomly recalled the kid that called him 'Drizzit' 'A Drizzit' to be exact. Like some kind of weird animal. ]

I have met many people here, most of which are surprisingly accepting.

[ baffled Drizzt is baffled. ] My race are not a particularly peaceful people. The Drow wage unnecessary wars, and live by a code that goes against my own. They are malicious beings of the underdark, and that is how I am judged on the surface. No matter what I do, they judge by my people's actions, and my appearance, and not by my actions.

I see. Many people are quick to judge based on what they see on the surface, before they know the truth. It is something I have come to accept.
