I was scheduled to work late on Saturday night. Even though the park now closes at 8pm on Sat and Sunday, there was a "private party" that was going to keep the park open until 1am. Turned out the group that rented the park was "Brother Help Thyself" (or something like that) . What the group is turned out to be a bi, gay, lesbian organization based out of Maryland/DC. Made for a long night of work, but an interesting one . *chuckles* Heh, one ratehr nice looking guy said "Thanks , sexy" to me after helping him with a purchase. :) Most fun watching some of my coworkers and bosses and how they reacted to some of the "extreme" alternatives dressed in drag etc. it would be very much fun to be an attendee next year, instead of working there and then watch thier faces. :)
I finally got the ad in the local paper for the pups. It began running on Thursday. As of Sunday morning, there still hadn't been a single call about them. I just couldn't understand that. Last year, when I was looking for a dog myself, puppies were gone after being listed for , litterally, minutes. Well, I got home last night after work to find only a single pup left here and she is 'spose to be picked up today. It seems one of the little monsters had eaten the phone cord, rendering it inop. D'oh! I guess Farin discoverd this and repaired it, shortly therafter to have the phone non-stop ringing. Good news now is that I can get my house cleaned (again) and maybe have it stay that way for more than an hour. It will be very nice to be able to enter my kitchen again without having to step over barracades and, once again, actually feel like preparing food there.
Lastly, one other nice thing to report. I managed to get next Saturday off from work. I'll be able to attend the annual furry picnic at Glen Echo park next week.
