The weekend passed quickly. I actually got a "break" from work on Saturday. The upper management was complaining about us being over on labour and that we should try to cut back wherever possible. Well, we don't make schedules. The upper management does. Often , not putting enough people on and then, another time , scheduling way too many. Iroically, Saturday was the latter...the same day they are complaining about too many folks working. Well, my stores were no exception . Had five associates and all three managers scheduled to work at the same time...I sent myself home . *grins* Even though this turned inta a big waste of gas and time driving there only to turn around and come home, it gave me the chance to join Farin and pat in the "fence project".
For the past few weekends, Farin and pat have been working on getting a portion of the property fenced in with chain link.... 350' of it. Needed to have a fenced-in area so that Farin's dog can be outside without being on a leash and able to run around without the running including a couple of miles down the road. Its almost completed now. Only the gates are left to build. Bad aprt about this project is that it has occupied all of Farin and pat's time off from work. Nothing much else has been getting done around the house. Especially including keeping up with the puppies and cleaning after them. They are old enough now and I need to make sure I get an ad in the paper to have them find new homes before they totally destroy my kitchen. :P
Monday, I had a visit from "Moose". He was visiting back at his dad's house, about an hour away from here. I still have to chuckle at the irony of Moose, who used to live an hour from here, now living at my farm in Wi while I have moved here.Anyway, it was very pleasent to have Moose visit. It gave him the chance to finally see my cute ass............ and her hinny son. We has some chat , watched a short movie he hadn't seen yet, watched some of his home-made movies taken at the exotic farm he used to work at here, and , when Farin and pat got home from work, had a nice dinner. I still gotta laugh at a vegatarian who doesn't seem to like any vegatables though. *grins* He was leaving here yeaterday for a long drive north to visit with a unicorn. I'm still waiting to hear from him to know he made the trip safely and to hear how things went for a first-time RL visit with someone special to him.
