From the ashes, No really this time
From the Ashes I will try to rise again. I still can smell the fire, the smell of burning hair and skin. I still can feel the heat from the flames. I still can see them, every time I close my eyes and hear the sound of the hair and skin burning, let alone, the sound of the flames as they back flashed around me.
Well the whole story is last night the water heater pilot went out, I went to light it and it would not stay lit. So I turned off the gas and went about cleaning it.. I went to light the lighter to light the pilot, well all the gas was not out of the heater area. I was holding the lighter about 18" from the pilot and watched as the flame was sucked back into the water heater. I tried to drop out of the way of it but not fast enough. I was engulfed in the flames. The heat left me in shock. The smell of my hair that was burned away was nauseating. I ran up stairs to the bathroom ripped off my clothing and turned on the cold water in the shower to start trying to cool my self off. Well I was in the ice water for like 60 min and the pain was not leaving so my rent took me to the hospital. There i sat trying to keep ice on my face, hands and arms. I sat there for over 4 hours waiting to see a Dr and all he did was say that my contacts saved my eyes from being burned and give me cream for the burns.
Well most of the inside of my left arm has burns and some blistering, my left hand most of my fingers have blistering, but none as bad as my left thumb, which is one big ass blister that keeps on dripping crap out of the blister, and it is getting all over my computer right not. I also have some burn on the upper part of my left arm. Also most of the hair on my arm is singed off.
My right hand most of the finger are burned and there is a little bit of burn on my right inside of my wrist but no were as bad as my left one.
Now to the bad part, My face… Well let see, the tip of nose is brown. The skin on the tip of my nose and around my nose is flaking and itching. I have some burning on my lips from my chap stick. Let see, chap stick is made from Petroleum Jelly, and that is flammable. I needed to shave yesterday, well let say most of my face I don’t need to now. But my real Dr. feels that is what saved my face, that my hair burned off and not my skin. As in also my face the hair on my arms is burned but were the hair is burned off, I do not have burns on my skin. But back to my face I have some burning on my cheeks and have a line on my face from. I will try to take some pict. of it later to post. I also lost a lot of my eyelashes and my eyebrows. I have some burn marks by my eyes and for head. They also feel my contact saved my eyes.
But right now I have over $200 worth of prescription to use and take. I have a burn cream, Eye drop, antibiotics and painkillers. And boy am I loving the painkillers. I am on Vicodin. I love it. It is making me loopy and hyper. I am high as a kite right now. So I really don’t know what kind of pain I am in. well there might be more but I really can’t think totally right because of the meds and such. But if I think of more I will post it….
