2000 miles on the Marin
I had set the ambitious goal at the start of December to ride 2000 miles on the Marin before the end of the year. With the snow, ice and trip to Whistler, I was limited in the number of days I could use the Marin and had almost written it off.
However, the last few days of December were fine, and after crunching the numbers it seemed reasonable to have one last shot at it, and at 7:35am, December 31st 2008 I passed the 2000 mi mark (display says 2000.0 mi).
A nice Happy New Year present to myself :) With a little luck I'll crack 5000 mi by the time the year is up. I've signed up for STP, so my dreams of a century, a double century and competing in the STP will come true provided I don't get deported in the meantime :)
