After talking to my prof last week, I am applying to Mcgill as well as York, because he felt that their program is way more suited to my research interests and is more communications-geared. The prospects of moving to Montreal are pretty exciting. I don't want to get my hopes up, because I may not get into either, considering I only have one recommendation in the bag and prof calling me Monday who I need to persuade to give me my second recommendation. Evening meeting all the requirements is no guarantee since both seem highly competition. . Also, applying to another school means more work and stress because the deadlines are the same. I already have transcripts from both college and university sent out to both, just pulling together everything else for the applications. I REALLY, REALLY hope I get in somewhere. I need a huge change and if I get into either program it'll be just what I need to motivate me.
BUT, tonight will be an utterly necessary evening of dancing at Absinthe. Can't wait to get out, since I've holed up at home like a hermit.
I won't be TWERKING it, like these girls, but I'll do my best to not look too lame on the dance floor.
