[Before the video feed clicked on, the voice of a young boy could be heard.]

[Then the video came on; the boy it showed was dirty, pale, and dressed in a military uniform that was a little too big for him. There was blood on his face, but it didn't look like it was his-- he had a few small scratches and bruises, but seemed relatively unhurt. Wherever he was, it was dark, and the only light came from the Dreamberry's screen and a small flashlight on the ground beside him. There was also an automatic rifle on the ground next to him as well, looking a little dirty but otherwise in working order.]
[The boy took a deep breath to steady himself.]
T-this is Liquid Snake. My radio isn't functioning and I don't know where I am and I found this in my gear. I need to get into contact with Major Zero for further instructions. I've...
[He had to take another few breaths.]
