This Christmas was the worst Christmas in the history of me.
Christmas eve was spent mostly with Seth's mom and grandma, then I went to midnight service with my mother cause she wanted me to go with her to see some friends that haven't seen me in a while. I think since my brother's funeral. I got to sleep in Seth's lumpy bed at his parents house, and all I could think about was how I felt terrible that I was leaving my baby home on xmas without me.
The actual xmas day was spent waking up, taking a shower where the water pressure was something less than a trickle. I enjoy talking to Seth's mom and grandma, they're very nice people. I love them very much. :) We ate breakfast, and then went over to my parents. The mood was light, we spent most of the time looking after my grandmother, cause she's got alzimers and she's not doing very well. I thought there would be mention of my brother, but none was had. I think it was for the best, cause xmas was always fun for us. I think some of the best xmas' I had were with him. I miss him very much. This xmas was hard because it was the first without him. I try not to think about it, but unfortunately I still can't shake the gaping wound I've got in my heart from where he was torn away from us last January. I keep telling myself that I've got to get over it, but it was like losing a brother/parent/best friend all in one. I love him so much.
On a positive note, we didn't get a call from his wife. No gifts either, I guess after a year of no replies from her eagerness to keep in touch with us, she has finally gotten the hint that we don't like her. The choice may have ultimately been my brother's, but she definitely had a hand in it.
well, the next day, Seth went to work and I got to have the day off. I was gonna go play with my girlfriends when i decided it was time to check the bank account to see how much we had, being that it was pay day, and to my surprise I got the best present of all. Someone stole a check from my checkbook and wrote it out to themselves for 1250.00 which pretty much cleaned out our checking account. Needless to say I spent the entire day going between the bank and the police station. spending the day not as I had intended.
Well that was my x-mas story.. I hope you guys had a better one than me.
