So this past two weeks I've been trying to adjust to my new lifestyle. I went into the doctors cause i hadn't been feeling well lately, and they tested me for all kinds of things and when the doctor got the results of my blood tests, he called me immediately to get a prescription filled. Apparently my blood sugar level was 480. This number meant absolutely nothing to me. He informed me that normal was 90-110, I was nowhere near normal. In fact, it explained my feverish attacks I had the previous sunday, tuesday, and thursday. I was diagnosed with Diabetes. I am on a pill medication, and have been trying to get my sugar down to normal levels. It's not very easy, and the doctor may have to adjust my medication. Right now i hover around two hundred, which is half of what it was before, but still need to cut half more to get to normal.
I don't have to inject myself with insulin thank goodness, but I have to prick myself three times a day to check where I'm at. I really haven't found any emerging patterns with my blood levels, but i can tell you this, it gets rather annoying to check myself. I still sort of freak out when i have to prick myself. I think for the most part it's mental. All this time I thought something was wrong with me and there actually was something wrong. Diabetes is a very expensive disease. Hopefully I can eventually control my levels with just food and excercise. But say goodbye to all the yummy bad for you food, cause those are a thing of the past. Luckily for me I like a lot of the healthy for you foods. It's just a bummer that's all.
Well, that's all I really have to update for now.
bye.
